Need Carbon (no joke)

Hi, I am off mining long ago, just purchasing everything. But Carbon and Condensed Carbon are kinda worthless so it is not on sale.

I found I can buy Cactus and convert it to carbon 1:2, but it is slow.

Please, ppl, give me the name of substance that can help me to get a lot of carbon quickly.
For 'quickly' I mean the same as to get 250 ionized cobalt from 1 tetracobalt.

just farm trees/plants... loads of carbon in them

Look in refining part.. will show you what you can refine to carbon.

Buy Oxygen from trade terminal and refine to Carbon. It's quick and cheap.

Carbon Crystal = 150 carbon
In the list from Aldo's lnk, but easy to miss...
And there is a way to craft Carbon crystal from refinery...
50 condensed crystal + catalyst + catalyst

I ultimately solved my hunger by fly-bys over depos and getting a LOT of carbon easily from Carbon Crystals.

Time is the only thing needed in this game to see new worlds and meet new challenges..

Without mining the game starts to flourish.

you will be able to build oxygen harvesters at the end of the base archive quest i believe.

they will get rid of the whole "I need more carbon for everything" problem for you ;)

oxygen = Carbon. Carbon + oxygen = condensended carbon = even more carbon

Just scan the planet with C.. then melee or use your mining tool to gather the carbon from the plants.. i play a lot of survival games, gathering items from the world around you is normally the obvious normal thing.

Not really what the thread was about, its more about how to get lots of carbon without mining/farming it directly. See post #5 by "BonPadre"
