Question - NipNip Buds
So, I checked wiki and it says you can plant them hydroponically. My issue is when I open up the normal way that you'd plant other plants/seeds, the NipNip buds don't show up as an option there. What am I missing? How do I plant them? Thanks a bunch.

There are actually lots of plants that can be found via treasure hunts and ancient relics, I've found several but don't think you can actually plant them. I may be wrong, but I thought nip nip buds could be planted in the previous update.

I don't think you can currently actually plant them. Thus I just sell them lol.

Alrighty, I was sort of figuring that was probably the case, but I wanted to double check before I sell them off. :P Thanks ^.^

@The Plum Gate Thanks a bunch. That helped me understand the game a little better with this concept. Much appreciated !

My guess if you could craft the GekNip with it, it would be way too easy to boost Gek reputation so that might be why it isn't growable anymore.

i have planted nip nip seeds after getting them, you need a hydroponics tray and learned the recipe from the anomaly station.

There is a terminal for learning building and farming skills in the area where you learn upgrades for your ship and weapons. their 3 salvage data points to unlock, and i think you have to learn a different plant recipe first.

Aside from trade though i have not found any real use for them yet, id think you could make Gec nip from it. However i have not yet found the recipe to unlock that. you can put a trade terminal in your base or freighter where you can just grow and sell them as you harvest them.

You CAN plant them. Unlock the recipe first.

Actually; The nipnip Recipe is part of the current Farming tutorial. However, finding the plantable NipNip seeds is not easy

If you can get to the planet where the recent mission was there is nipnip on my base there.

i got my first nip nip buds when my frigates finished a mission. i planted them in a hydroponics tray in my freighter after unlocking the necessary steps in the research tree to do it. i don't know how to make Gek nip from it yet. perhaps that is a future add on. i also put a trade terminal in my freighter, and made it a mobile base. Unfortunately i am unable to put some base modules in the freighter.
