Deuterium!

Why do I get a jet pack boost from the flowers that are Deuterium rich, whatever that does, but I don't collect Deuterium?

Dueterium comes randomly from potted plants in stations and buildings. Otherwise you synthsize it with the refinery.

Synthesize it from what? I need 200 of it to make that dang Splitter gun, but man, I can't find any. I rare;u find any potted plants either that will let me interact with them.

Dihydrogen (H2). It is a Hydrogen isotope ... (chemistry/physic of earth).

You make it from Di-hydrogen (astroids) then put it in medium or large refiner when HG fixed the &/%"#¤ base computer archive missions.

So basicly you take a medium refiner that you get from the base building quests, put di-hydrogen in 2 of the slots and you can make deuterium.

After reading the above answers I figure you could use an actual answer.

Thank you so much guys! I don't have a medium refiner yet but working on that too :) I'm happy now. I don't have peruse every planet and then some anymore.

tried the above in both a medium and a large and i get the red lettering that says its not a valid combination, did they break it with one of their patches or are my brand new refiners bugged

I don't think you can put the same thing in two slots.

somewhat old thread, and at NEXT launch indeed tritium in refiners = deuterium, but no more since 1.54 or so ?

thats the guide i was using, if you look at the tabs up top, you will see that 1.55(exp) is for the experimental server, meaning it shouldnt be live yet, i was using the 1.54 tab on that and that one says 2 di-hidro, but the 1.55 patch appears to be out and working, guess it pays to pay attention to whatever patch version the game is on...
