What an incredibly helpful reply, thanks!
Get over it? lol...not your base, so why does it matter......
Well if I want to go to a specific persons base, I would have to visit all 3 until I get the right one... ergo, it's a pain in the arse. =)
Are they all on the same planet?
(If they have a Base Computer but no real base started aka just a little square house, just have them Delete it through the Base Computer and remake them on different planets)
Yeah, the have renamed their bases via the Base Computer and have uploaded it. Their base names even show up when you use the Space Teleporter. They unfortunately have worked a good bit on their bases now.
again are they all on the same planet?
Yeah, they are also all on the same planet. Even on foot and looking at their base icon, still all shows the one friends name. Not even what he names his base, but just his name.
1. same planet bases = no good
2. multiplayers cross save is kinda wonky (if i am on my save and cook stuff in refiner, save and join friend with my save, it has most of my stuff BUT what i cooked in my refiners will not appear in the server if I join him & vice versa)
3.Try to all go to your own saves, rename and upload bases, then rejoin (maybe that'll help but I am not too sure)
They are able to see base names fine. Generally we join whoever is playing it first, but we all started in the same universe by joining one person when we first started playing the game.
We have had an issue building base computers in close proximity, but we thought spreading them out, the closest to my base is around 2,500u. Seems that you may be right that there are still issues building on even the same planet.
Will definitely try out your last suggestion there, cheers!
If you go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS\GCUSERSETTINGSDATA.MXML"
There's a <Property name="BaseBuildingLimit" value="2000" />
****Could try tweaking that BUT do at your own risk as I have no clue what impact it will have on your game, saves, overall experience****
perhaps try some googling, sometimes there's some hidden answers on there that are not on here
overall though, the multiplayer is wonky so it's most likely cos of that
Thanks again.
