That was a quick freighter ownership.
So I jumped to my fourth system because I had to wait for polo to analyze the data I brought him. Upon jumping there is a freighter there being attacked. They ask If I can help. I fight off 6 pirates and the admiral asks me to land. I do and He gives me his freighter and support frigits free of charge. I walk around the freighter I can talk to admiral and it will pull up the inventory. Not much else I can do. I jump to another system and go to call the freighter and it says I do not own one. I go back to the other system and the freighter is gone.

The next one i rescued also offered it to me for free. Thought i would just get offered a reward or something. Didnt accept as his was worse than my current

Yea, you get a freighter very quickly. Granted, it's a bit offset by the fact that freighters are now cheaper than a lot of haulers. I picked up a hauler in my beginner system that was worth more than my freighter.

I had a freighter for Free. Can not longer find it and summon freighter says I do not have one. Owned it for only about 10 minutes then was gone

I had that happen the first time I was given one. I clicked to accept it, but right clicked out of the "inspect" screen. It vanished after a while. I think the game didn't register I owned it despite the captain thinking I did. I restarted that game.

This is old news, ever since they introduced freighters you could get one for free for rescuing it. It usually happens on the 3rd or 4th warp.

They don't exactly advertize it, however. If you didn't know that the first time you encounter a space battle you get a free freighter (which in prior games cost a colossal amount) it's a bit of a shock.

Yes got a 32 slot Capital ship first time and a 27 slot freighter second time but cant have 2 ..
Wish i could sell first one its worth 75 mill..

Its to bad you can not have it join another players game if you did not get it in there instance .

I wish you could just sell ships outright. That seems a bit of an oversight, IMO. It would make being an interstellar salvager a lucrative job.
