Complaining about stuff like this in a game where Creative Mode is a valid game option is silly.
you hardly need billions for S class ships, my friend has one in our first system and it was only like 10 million or so and we got that by farming eggs, it's really not that difficult. But that said yes there are a few bugs that need squashed asap... like certain ships hit boxes being so big they take damage from there own attacks.
Until cheating in solo gets boring and they take their S class fighter with the 48+48 slots and the 9999 dmg/shields to my game and one shot me. That's the only problem I have with cheaters in this game. I shouldn't have to keep my network settings off and miss chances at playing with other good players because I might have my save ruined by a cheater.
This is what happens when you have inadequate play-testing and release something that is still in an alpha or beta state.
HG have shot themselves in the foot again.
And this is probably the most uninformed statement so far. No amount of play testing is going to fix a fundamental problem with drop in/out multiplayer. Item duping has been a trick used since back in the early 2000s I'm talking about PS2 and games like Diablo 2 unless they force a save every time you open your inventory and another every time you close your inventory. There will be duping.
Save editors have also been around since the 90s with the very first diablo. Again, no amount of play testing or quality assurance is going to cripple the fingers of programmers. You seriously need to stop before you start blaming the next big hurricane on HG.
so you know, play how you like.
just dont aim bot. i swear to atlas its absolutely not worth the money to buy hacks for this game.
Equally, why is having billions so important???
Biggest thing holding ppl back in nanites.
Doesn't matter how expensive your ship is.. without nanites.. you cant be all you can be.
Best thing they did was have a second currency.
Granted once you know what you are doing, you can make a good amount of nanites but it will never keep up with the money farm so who cares.
Yay I got a 900million freighter... (which is just extra slots)
Yay I got a 90million hauler... but I got no nanites so I cant upgrade ANYTHING from the C class stuff I already have.
Im low level.. only started a week or so ago.
I've got A type stuff
Handful of frigates for frieghter
Nice enough multitool
About 30mill in units
All legit as I only just now got my MONEY FARM up and running.
I already have nothing I need/want to do with the 30mill I have.
If I could get some more nanites... that be great..
Who cares about duping, farming, marketing and making billions.. its all moot cause there isn't enough to spend it on anyway so its only hurting the individual.. not the game.. or the other players.
Just leave it alone... move on.
Even if there was no way of cheating in any game with a multiplay aspect, people with bad attitude will still ruin someone else game.
Let me put this way. Let just say that you are so fed up of cheaters, or whatever is happening in your live and you have all this powerful ship that you spend time building up, you find my game and take your frustratino on me that have a much weaker ship, and don't care about pvp.
Not going to say that you are a bad person, but in that particular moment, with that first impression, you were.
I personally used cheats in a online game, long, long time ago, but was never with bad intentions, but to help others to level up. And I was clear with others about it.
Is not the cheating that is the issue, is the attitude.
well thats the billion dollar question, but no industry wants to pay for the question and no one else can afford to answer it. xD
but this was the problem i saw with a free open multiplay being integrated, people that mod and play the game super EZ mode, then expect the game to remain entertaining when they've modded the game well below their skill set, have people run into em that are playing the game without cheating without modding and suddenly, it starts making sense why most people come here and complain about the game being too easy.
"miss chances to playing with other good players"
Are we playing the same game? I have friends that play... but other than sitting in a base being social, there is absolutely 0 gameplay for a group of players. Everything is based on solo gameplay with the ability to have upto 15 other people near you.
Why would I go to a friends game when my progression is in my save?
Also... how exactly are they ruining your save?
