LoL. Happend to me. Blew my ass up.
first of, with freighters there is nothing saying that you can't have your freighter in a system where your friend is in. it even gives you the option to warp in your ship from the freighters warp panel. hence it is a glitch. the result is then that you spawn outside in open space inside a frieghter (not inside where you are supposed to be but some inside the freighter model in space)
secondly. sure i expect the splash to deal some damage in return. what shouldn't have to expect is for that splash damage to kill me instantly in one shot with full ship health and full shield. especially with the heavely reduced friendly fire that's in the game.
But i do know there is a save editor use that.
Me too... accidently launch a plasma genade at a terminal... Poof I was gone....
Maybe you shoulfd try figuring out to play the game... Just a thought... This game is NOT hard...
If you know how to play it...
so even if the latter scenario is a leigt death, it's a stupidly unreasonable one considering the damage you take by other means. having player shot rockets deal upwards of seaming 4000% extra damagecompared to other means (pirates, colisions, sentinels etc.), to the players ship. that is simply absurd.
if multiplayer dissallows two players or more to have their freighters in the same system, disable all means of getting them into the same system. it's as simple as that.
and then rebalance rockets splash damage so it doesn't instagib the player if they hit themselves. it's fine, considering their firepower, if they take down the shields (or some of it depending on the ship's shield strength etc.). But it shouldn't instakill the player if they hit themselves with it.
