How does that sounds ?
Now do yourself a favor and sell it, don't clog inventory with that.
It will be some game time before you get blueprints to use that to craft to higher end items.
And no one can tell you if you will ever decide to put the effort in that or not (getting all the BP)
So as a new player, you will need other stuff that may be helpful to stay alive or has an "immediate" use.
You may be looking at a good 20h or more before you may be able to use that
Here's a link, BUT PLEASE DISMISS the ALLOYS part... all names to craft those are using the old minerals from before NEXT (but idea remains)

Hope it helps you decide what to do with it
Now just an other insight... the goal of the game is not having the largest bank account...
once you have a billion, basically you can buy everyting in game that is high end, and you would still have more than enough units....
There are way many more ways to have fun in this game than watching how fast or how many billions you can make.
If it's what fuels you and give you fun, aim for it... just know that "your" endgame may come way faster than "my" endgame goals.
That's words from a vet that has put momre than 250h in a save game before NEXT since last winter sales and have restarted fresh after NEXT.
You can have fun playing the game the way you want... that's the beauty of this game
THIS. Absolutely this!
If you don't want spoilers... really do yourself a favor.... ALWAYS keep a fresh manual save somewhere else after every evening sessions (or even after each of your game sessions)... just in case you regret your decision.
I know I'll not regret that decision, but many did.
Now you could have other self inflicted goals, such as have all those blueprints to craft those in that tree, it's a really cool way to make units when needed.
You could set yourself for a goal to own only exotics ships, or force you to fly only max B classs ships
Or force you to never build your unit account in advance until you know what you aim for, and once you decided, you do all you can to get that amount, find your rarity (probably ships, or rarer multitool with great all over stats), and be poor again only to all start over.
or force you to never upgrade the ship you fly, or... or or...
As you can see, obviously there are goals that will suit probably a larger amount of players (such as the quickest more units as possible), but you can self inflict yourself your own crazier goals that one would ever think of...
Discover the game freely, just choose to play your way, whatever your way is, never follow other's goals if you don't want to... I personally will never build a mega farm to earn 40millions an hour....
If it's your way then do it, min max things, it's also an achievement too
I already struggle to be willing to harvest my very very small farm....it's not my fun... my farms are just a tool, not an achievement, but that's me
Pre-NEXT I never bothered building anything bigger than needed to house the Specialists.
