Whats so good about Exotic ships?

From looking at the stats the percentages seem considerably higher than that of fighter and others at S class

i just didnt know what was special about them if there was something they were better for stats wise, i gotmy answer from cracky

Honestly nothing. They have better stats all around but you don't need a multipurpose ship that can only hold 20 slots max. They're primarily just fancy looking ships, stats are useful if you can pick one up early game but they stop being useful when you get fighters and explorers that can hold way more slots and still get good stats at S class

They don't go any higher than normal S class ships, they are just always S class and more well rounded. I was actually wrong though, I doublechecked and exotics apparently have a lower max damage cap than fighters.

Exotics has the best overall stats of all ships.

I use them as my balanced fighter. like yeah it has 10 or 15 % less attack compared to the fighters but ya gotta remeber it gets that extra 40% for shields. if it gets full I send it transfer the stuff to the freighter storage.

It's only worth it to have an Exotic fighter with best stats possible as you will be fighting with it. With other ships you mostly want the inventory slots. I am happy with my B class Hauler (48 slots), but the exotic fighter (17 slots) is far better than an average fighter with more slots.

You should look for whatever you want, truly haulers are the best because cargo is key to this game, but if you want an explorer or fighter look for that. There is no right or wrong ship to look for, stats only mean so much you don't have to worry about them too much.
