Craft that relay planet scanner thing and feed it some navigational data, then ask it to pick up distress frequencies. More than likely you'll find abandoned buildings with whispering eggs or crashed ships.
You can buy navigational data as well as find it
you can also drop a base and build 4 walls around each set of eggs
depending on the building layout, you can exploit their AI a bit. Get them stuck on one side of the building while you plunder the other (have to mine the egg, quickly grab the thing, and jump back up on the structure to reset them)
sometimes they get smart tho
I've heard people say build a base, use the terrain manipulator, stand on the relay, etc.
This is all WAY too much work, people.
You can actually just stand on one of the eggs and collect the larva from the ones you destroy around it. So much simpler and a lot faster - the biological horrors will screech and look angry, but they never attack you as long as you're standing on their egg.
Use this trick before it's patched... and when it does get patched, then just stand on the relay.
