Desert World phot mission

So I've been jumping around and scanning for over an hour and I can not find a DESERT WORLD.
Need to take a landscape picture of one for a mission.
I have seriously found worlds with every other name for desert... even found a THIRSTY planet.
Am I supposed to look for an actual DESERT PLANET when I scan??
This is becoming a joke.

search a planet with catus flesh. these are always desert planets

No just find a deserty world any world with some sand and cactus work. I thought the same and searched it for ages but then i was like "oh wait let me try to take a random pic on this very sandy world" and then mission accomplished lol

Yes but does the scan need to detect the label as DESERT PLANET?
Because I've been down to many with cactus plants and its not working.

ok heres the strange thing.. of all the planets I scanned... the mission didn't update and tell me to go down and take a picture until I actually scanned and found a desert planet.. exact name.
Cant beleive I found one just after getting on here.

you will get no mission update to go down in these missions. just land and take the screen shot and then you will get the mission update * return to your overseer *

If the quest are for photo shoot, try take it first.

Thats the thing.. the mission did update when I finally found the Desert planet.
It said use X to take a photo
Before scanning it just kept telling me to scan from space using C.

yeah but it also works on any sandy planet it just wont tell you to go down but its works.

Edit: Also another tipps for these kinds of mission what i do is accept all planet photo missions and do my own thing eventually i will come by a airless or desert world. Visit every space station and by the time you find another desert world you have like 5active mission for this. Thats what i did feels less grindy.

I've been looking for Cactus Flesh. I know I can refine it but I was scouting around for good trade route planets anyway, so kept hopping. Sixty bloody six planets and no Barren type world, and no Cactus Flesh using "C". WTH.

In all honesty man.. just do what many of us already have.. just delete the game.. refund if you can.... dont bother playing it... its a mess and will never be fixed.

My solution? Never take the photo missions. Because you can never find one of whatever required. The paltry reward isn't worth the effort. Same for the "delivery" missions, that always require you to portal to a new system.
