Autonomous Mining Unit - Wrong Resources?
I have been noticing my AMU's switching to different resources than what they're on top of. Anyone else experiencing this?

Bump because deleting my AMU's over and over again which may work isn't the greatest fix as they're a pain and far away from my current base.

Hi. I have the same problem, and I don't even know how to remove/delete the AMU. Someone could explain how to do it please ?

Yes, mine are also like this, only one extraction and then its copper all the time. also unable to pickup the units aswell

I found that the AMU must be in a base radius to be pickable. But it doesn't give back any material alas, so it's useless to get it back.

I had an atmosphere collector that was parked next to a mining unit that was collecting minerals (activated emeril) which I got excited about until it spazed out and said it was collecting a jet pack upgrade instead - It never gave me either unfortunately.

i parked my base right next to indium rather than risk a long distance deal. so i got miners for both indium and pyrite within range of my base.

havnt had any issues beyond sometimes getting indium off the pyrite node, but that only happens when i try to place it on the pyrite that i uncovered underground.

Just FYI, I found a mod over on Nexus that lets you pick up the AMU.

And there was much rejoicing.

Had this happen due to placing multiple AMU's on the same source of resource, ignoring the issue and teleporting to another system had it sorted out when I returned, the resources they had picked up were indeed the correct ones.

They're all sorts of screwed up. They will start mining Copper, they won't mine anything at all, etc.

I had filled mine with fuel, checked it was mining (Cobalt was filling up), left, came back, and both fuel and Cobalt were empty, and the miner was switched to Copper...

Very very buggy.

The AMU I placed just disappeared.

Figured the sentinels destroyed it.

There have been bug reports on this for some time now. The best thing to do is to only build them within your base radius (completely inside that radius). They can still bug out but don't seem to do so as often. Also, they can change back to the intended mineral but that is totally random from what I have seen. It really needs to be a high priority to be fixed in my opinion. Also, are you aware that you can place more the on miner on one patch of minerals? Number depends upon the size of the mineral patch.

I found the best way is to immediately reload the game as soon as you exit your ship to collect your resources. Fixed the problem 100% of the time. You must reload on each planet.

Worked 0% of the time for me :(. I tried both my ship and a portable save point. It wasn't in range of a base but I don't know if your situation was different.

I run into the same bug if i use AMU on more different resources at the same planet . My solution is. for every ressoure i have an mini base (computer und teleporter) + max AMU on a different Planet.
