Can't Recruit Vy'keen for Armourer

I am going throught he base building, and i am not stuck with not finding any vy'keen that will be my armourer, i found a gek and korvax recruits instantly but now no vy'keen will be my armourer. I have been to 15+ Vy'keen systems, asked in the back room of the space stations and non give me the option to recruit. i have the quest line active and the terminal is built in my base so idk what im dong wrong.

if your in open space, and you have the quest active, open the galatic map, it will show the nearest spacwe sation that has teh staff member on.

I had this issue too. But it went away by randomnly talking to a guy at a trade post facility. I usually talk to everyone just to upgrade my guild level and this random one happened to want to be my armourer. Didn't have an icon on him either. :)

The quest has to be active when going to a new system, etc...

I tried every system I've visited previously with the quest active and no icon would appear. I went to a new system to follow the main Atlas questline and a random NPC at a trading post happened to be the guy I was looking for. Maybe it was luck.

I can verify, that you must visit a NEW Vy'Keen system after recieving the quest... Additionally, in some cases even with the quest not set, there will be no quest marker... Please remember there are 2 quests effectively with the same instructions, I had the first quest selected and warped to a new system. There was NO marker but the first alien by the stairs on the side with the mission NPCs was the guy I needed to talk to.

You built his station? I remember having this issue also and put it on back burner. After a few jumps it seemed to fix itself and I was able to recruit

Solved: You need to finish the first Overseer mission of collecting pugneum. You can build the armourer station BEFORE then, but you won't be allowed to recruit until then. It's dumb.

Also: You usually find them outside fo the normal recruiting areas.

Who cares? Almost a year after your post and it helped me.

And to be completely clear:
You need to make sure you've hit "Agree" on the Overseer. I'd clicked through his messages and thought I was done with him when I built the station, but I wasn't. So no matter how many times I rebuilt it, the option was still grayed out.
