Medium and Large Refinery
I'm using an old save. How do you get the medium and large refinery blueprint?

you have to do the base building quest line. Not sure if you are able to unlock it in a legacy save.

They have fixed the blueprint research station with the latest patch for legacy saves. So that they can continue the base mission and not be stuck on it. Can't test anymore myself though as I got rid of all my legacy saves with NEXT just to avoid all those unpleasant things they overlooked ;)

i am using old save as well, currently on ecperimental patch, i still dont have medium/large refinery.

I've raed you continue the Artimis quest to unlock them but I'm unable to do so. The quest tells me to return to where I met Artimis but absolutely no way to find him on the galaxy map or previous warps.
No blueprints show up for these items either :steamsad:

the artemis quest has nothing to do with unlocking the refiners.

As I said you NEED to do the base archive quest for the medium refiner and for the large one you need to build overseer and scientist terminals and hire the guys.

The problem is i have them and they are not giving me any base quests. Also a legacy save.

yeah I think it is still bugged for legacy saves but I am not 100% sure. If so the only solution for legacy saves is to unlock the refiners via savegame editor.

This is the problem. legacy saves are still bugged so we can't access this equipment yet.

this is such a pain in the f##kin# a33. I only started playing NMS about a week before the NEXT patch, so technically I have a 'legacy' save i guess. I had a base on planet and had all the terminals set up and finished all the mission lines for exocraft and weapons terminal, and was almost done with the science. I hadn't made much progress with the construction terminal.

After the patch, i set followed the mission to reclaim my base or whatever by finding a suitable site on a different planet. Did that. Now I have a freighter and I have all the terminals there (except the exocraft terminal obviously). Now I have a mission from the construction overseer to build a pulse spitter (funny enough) and I need Deuterium. I remember you used to be able to mine this only with the exocraft - now I guess you need a medium or large refiner, which I do not have the blueprints for.

Is there a way to get these blueprints - or is this what the bug is?

The immediate solution is to use the save game editor to temporarily fix this unless you want to wait for an update. You can give yourself the ability to craft the medium and large refineries with the save editor.

By the way, if you search the forums, there are also answers for how to fix bugged quests with the save editor. It is also on reddit.

No it does not impact multiplayer as far as I know. Just search for it, HG has one available and follow the instructions.

Remember this is not a competitive MMO or a CoD type game where rewards are connecting to pvp.

Just keep in mind if you use the save editor to cheat, you will probably ruin the game for yourself. Just like when people use to use the game genie to cheat on Nintendo games and then they realized within a hour they did not want to play the game anymore.
