Quest destroy the depots, but they are already destroyed

the marked depots are already destroyed, what can I do?

I can not cancel the mission, its from my weapon terminal

Make sure you activate the quest, and go find a depot (other one, no need for the selected mission one)
I had the issue when I had both the weapon AND the vehicle guys asking me for depot ressources... and I could not give it to any of them

Make sure you have enough room in inventory (5 slots available) to get the materials

If it's the vehicle guy, actually he did ask me 500 gold... so if anything was from a depot, you could refine what you got from there that gives gold.

Last but not least, sometimes deleting and rebuilding the terminal does refresh the mission in case above seems stuck

Also, you can raid those with your ship in seconds from flying low, and shooting at them. make sure to NEVER go in the stars with a wanted status though.... so keep flying low until tht timer expires.

That's how I did my first depot, and second I did go on an other planet and did it with exocraft weapon, and it was very doable but very painful.

on any other planets even in other system works... that's what I did.

Also if you have enough of those data locator (or something like that) chips to insert into your signal booster, search for secured place

Can send you either to a depot or a manufacturing plant
If it's a manufacturing plant, don't dismiss that option, go raid it (again explode the door either with grenades or I personally do it with my ship airborn...)

Those manufacturing centers involves solving a litle mini game, so use the save post of the building prior entering the building. If answer is correct, you should get some nice BP (most of the time). If not just reload the save... much faster to be done once you know enough aliens words though

I had the opposite problem earlier. Got a depot quest, went to blow up the depots, destroyed all 5 and the quest only counted 2.

For the weapon specialist, all it wants is that you destroy x-number of depot storage units. It doesn't care which ones, just how many. I didn't catch that idea the first time I ran into it, couldn't cancel, and solved it out after stumbling over a depot about three systems away. Boom, boom, boom and I get the message to report back to the specialist.

Hmm. Got a destroy depot quest. My target depot was already destroyed in another quest earlier. My quest instantly jumped to "hand in resources" as soon as I got it.
Tried getting another depot. Didn't work. I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Help?

Happened to me too @Dandelion, just search for another one (with the vehicle), destroy and, if you don't have 100 Gold, just get it somewhere, you will get it done.

Just searched for and found this thread, slight necro but 14 hours isn't so bad I hope :P

Having major problems with this too. Went like this, built the weapons terminal in my base, hired a Vy'keen and did a few for him before being handed the "Destroy 3 Depots" mission. In my ship I destroyed the first but still 0/3, 2nd still at 0/3. Checked the log and it says destroy them with the multitool weapons. Ugh, great. Found one more and tried to destroy it with a multitool weapon but didn't even scratch the depot.

So I'm guessing you need something more powerful than the Bolt Caster?

And what's this about 100 gold? I don't have that option, he only wants to talk about a good death.

had same issue, just bring him 100 gold, and for furture refrence he seems bugged, when you get a quest from him, even if it is timed, do not build anything into your exo-craft . just go strait to th waypoint. (unless the quest is to just build something) Hope this helps, got all mine done
