Playing Survival - Are jetpack boosters bugged?
Hi guys, just installed an expensive +20% boost to my jetpack and it makes absolutely no difference to boost duration. If anything, duration seems shorter. Does it have to be installed in a particular spot or is it a bug? Or maybe my imagination?...

Just place them so the same modules are in contact. I have 4 Jet modules installed (S class, still looking for 2 more) and the difference is HUGE. I can finally fly.

arent jetpack booster the things that make you jump further by holding space? And even if it werent that, 20% isnt much, the base value is suuper low, i currently have 2 S class modules on giving me +400% increase to jetpack fuel and its still low imo

I do have 3 class S movement upgrades and they provide about +600% boost to my jetpack and while this is a noticeable upgrade it still doesn't allow you to fly very far. So yes, the boost "works" but +20% boost is hardly noticeable.

Well, you have 4 modules and 2 jet tech pieces still to install then. That is a lot.

A person on Reddit said that with everything installed he could stay in the air for about 14 seconds.

4 S-class modules? O.o I thought systems were limited to 3.

yeah i still have no clue about this myself, a 4th seems to help and link them together, while the ingame guide makes you believe it actually has a negative impact.

No, it is limited to 3 per inventory page. So 3 in your exosuit and 3 in your exosuit tech slot + 2 jet tech blueprint upgrades. That should be 3 jet modules + 1 blueprint tech on each inventory page. So 6 jet modules and 2 jet blueprint upgrades in all = 8 upgrades for the jet pack.

Not sure what your setup is, but in my experience, having more than three will deactivate the entire subsystem. But from what I've read, it might be possible to have more if they happen to upgrade different aspects of the system. But three is my experience.

Also, in case anyone doesn't know this, you can do a sort of forward dash by pressing melee and jetpack at the same time (you may need to be pressing forward as well, not sure). It won't give you extra height, but you can travel really far with it as long as you don't touch the ground.

3 in exosuit inventory and 3 in inventory tech slot. You cant put more than 3 on 1 page.

Wow. That's...ridiculous. There's no way, even if the Freighter Warp Reactor Upgrades were optimally installed on a perfect S-class that jump range could keep up with an S-class explorer with 6 S-class modules. And then the modules are going to increase the fuel efficiency like mad, too.

I honestly expect this to get nerfed.

You do not have enough room to upgrade everything, so you have to choose. There is a LOT to install. Install what fits your playstyle. Remember, you might be able to make long jumps, but what will you sacrifice for it?
