Can't build base computer, even I already built it in the past.

I start playing the NEXT version. I already build a base computer during the initial missions. But now, after many hours of exploring, I am trying to build another base computer, but this computer is not showing in the Z menu. I am missing something here or looks like some bug?

It should be there. It is easy to miss- in my experience- as you are scrolling through the options.

You could try verifying your files and restarting your game. I have had a few times when things did not load properly...usually it is just planet icons that forget to show up so not game breaking.

Have you gone through a portal? If so, this is likely why. If not, try the above suggestions.

It happened to me on planet of the community mission... After going through portal.

The base Computer is missing.

Haven't tried on any other planet after got out of the community mission system.
Will try again tonight.

i didnt do it for mission... couldnt lay a computer anywhere i portalled to

yeah you can't build bases there. that's intentional, not a bug.

I'm standing on the Community Research planet right now and it's full of bases. How did all these other people build bases? Like others in this thread, I'm unable to find the base computer in my build menu.

My base computer is missing from my inventory also. I went back through the portal and I'm not where I started from. My base and all the systems I explored are gone.

Yep, i cannot build base computer after going through event portal either, but judging by the 30-40bases already there i'm guessing it is a bug. We are playing experimental branch so kinda expected. Having a blast overall.

It's a problem with me as well. I can't build the base computer as it's missing from my build menu entirely. I tried to build a beacon so I could see where I was as I explored the system I was in, but I couldn't warp and couldn't build a portal because of the portal interference. I even tried to see if the space station I landed in would pop up in my portal menu when I went back to my system of origin and it wasn't there either. Frustrated by this and the construction overseer never giving me glass recipe. Hoping this all gets fixed. I have 122 hours into this game, to start over would be...well, not great.

That is by design. You can't build a base on a planet you have arrived at via a Portal. You need to go back through to your origin system and fly back to that planet with your ship or freighter. THEN you can build on it.

Not a bug. Those players flew their ship there after getting the coordinates from the planet.

You have never been able to build a base on a planet you arrived at via a Portal.
