No more hex cores ?

Hey,

So.. i've done the quest with Polo. I used the portal to collect hex cores, i got 25 of them and i've finished the quest. Now, it says i can collect hex cores everywhere in the galaxy. So i took the portal again to get back where i was before the quest, and i started to farm buried technologies. But the problem is... i can't find any hex cores in buried technologies anymore... Is this a bug or something ?

I have the inverse problem - I don't really want the hex cores, and now can't gather salvaged technology.. all of the quicksilver rewards are pretty uninteresting, and I still need salvaged tech.

Seriously, instead of making the hex cores replace the existing items, they should have made them their own thing to collect.

Ugh, wish I'd never tried the community event.

They can be converted into Quick Silver Currency, so I would try to save them as opposed to throwing them away.

Sounds like you have not completed the first Polo Mission Quest. Otherwise you would have been contacted to do the Hex Core related Community Research Quest line.

Salvaged technology will come up just as often as the HCs do while digging. I sold off/threw away 50 STs last night since I am truly end-game with the Blueprint Anyalizer. I have every Blueprint it offers, so they are worthless to me now.

Over the next weeks we will get more than 50 items in the store including vehicles etc (I think they also mentioned frigate skins or something). So you might find something you like. I always get cores in the tech salvage, and once I have 25-26 cores I always get salvaged tech...

It doesn't.

You only need the mission up to see your current total or to summon Polo with a space scan. I've collected a bunch with other missions active.

I'm getting the cores even in the Euclid galaxy. Also getting them in the mission planet. Sometimes I get Salvage technology and sometimes I get the cores. It's pretty random

Maybe you could trade them with one of the guys that are only geting salvage tech

I'm sorry to tell you, you've been eliminated from the race.

- There is no need to have connection to online services to get Hex.
- There is no need to have the quest " active " while searching.
I have been getting Hex without either of these.

My ratio is not good, about 50% and 90% of the time I do get Hex I only get 1.

Furthermore, giving hex to Polo yields 25 quicksilver per hex regardless of if it's 1 , 25 ( 625 ) or 50 ( 1250 ) which makes holding on to these suckers freaking pointless. Althought I believe this might be bugged and they are supposed to pay out more when you have more.

If you're not getting Hex about 50% of the time, your save is bugged in some form ( like that's new ). There's no point trying to figure out what YOU are doing wrong.

I am in the event zone and get 100% cores 1-3 pr salvage. When at 25 I need to turn them in as after that I only get salvaged tech. Rinse and repeat.

If you are talking to me, I did that quest. Now Hex Cores do absolutely nothing. The community quest has not progressed, and there is no NPC's that I can find that will take the cores and give me Quicksilver.

for those who cant find hex core here's the trick ; ask a friend to give you one, then dupe them till you have enought to finish the quest. for those who dont have friend add me and ill help you out. have a nice day ! ps*** message me this : iso dupe hex core so i know why you added me*

I was on a planet with HOSTILE sentinals and I could see hundreds of icons indicating buried tech, Hex Cores, in all directions. It seems to me like it is the more hostile the planet the more hex cores. Even in NMS life is not easy.

I have the helmet and gold and silver statues, I want ALL the goodies on offer, so I keep looking, loads of time left to get more cores.

Nope.
Most of the time the services were offline.
I think, as in the case of the discoveries, you do not necessarily have to be online to find the Hex Cores and sell them.

i obsevervd in my game that hexcores become "unavailable" when i get 25 of them. someone wrote he had put the hexcores in the freighter or ship and could get more than 25. if i have 25 of them i message polo and go for the next 25. I never found hexcores in other star systems no matter the quest was active or not. seems a bit inconsistent from player to player idk...
and this online/offline thing maybe matters... when you are on antoher planet. i guess the buried tech-items have to be seeded with hex cores
