Extreme survival bug
Polo requested that I survive 3.0 sols in extreme environments; which I did. When I returned, he wouldn't speak to me. So I checked my list of milestones which confirmed my 3.0 sols number but indicated that my next target was, also, 3.0 sols. When I highlight the anomoly quest in my log it comes up with the message on screen that I have to reach 5.0 sols in order to satisfy Polo. All well and good, you might think, but no matter how long I spend in extreme environments from this point, the count never goes beyond 3.0 sols in my list of milestones. This means I cannot progress any further with the anomoly quest. Has any one else encountered this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try spending time on a extreme hostile sentinal planet :) I have gotten 16.0sols from doing that.

If you die all the progress is reset and you have to start over. The milestones page will still show your previous longest time but in the background it is reset back to zero and you'll only see it change when you get back to 3 sols and above.

just for reference, 1 sol = 15 minutes real-world time, so you would have to be on an extreme planet for 45 minutes (without leaving) before you notice your counter move past 3.0.

Thanks Harry. I remember now, I did die. Does this mean all of my milestone achievements have been re-set; ie pirate kills, number of warps etc ?

Thanks NibKing - good to know. Harry Power's explanation hit the nail on the head. I'll know not to get killed in future.

Only the Extreme Survival Milestone resets. You don't have to worry about the other ones

had the same problem until last night but for the 5.0/5.0 sol. the text read reach the determined milestone (5.0/5.0sols)

i was at 5.0/5.0 but never got the freakin' milestone...so I left the planet to do other things, hoping I wouldn't regret it...cause 5 sols is still a while to spend on an extreme planet...

then got to another system and as soon as I entered the atmosphere of another extreme world I got the milestone...so you might wanna try that. but be aware that as soon as you leave your current worlds atmosphere, the counter for sols resets to 0.

That's not true anymore, the counter does not reset after you leave a planet. Every extreme planet now counts towards the milestone without getting reset when you leave it. Only time that it does get reset is upon your death.

that's a welcome "fix". my point still stands though, changing systems and going to another planet MIGHT solve the OP's problem.

if anything resets they need to reset the counter or everybody is going to think it is another bug.. basic common sense
