Can't reach the centre of the galaxy!
Hello,

I'm only 3.000 light years from the centre, and there is no more systems to warp on and get closer. My farest warping ship which is my freighter (+28% hyperdrive) can only warp 1.900 light years. Btw, even using a class A or S explorer craft with +50% hyperdrive using 3 class S upgrades can't reach more than 2.000 light years warps.

Is there any issue with this? May I be doing something wrong?

I'm at the Budullangr galaxy (N°7),
Thanks.

Have you been using a stock ship to make the jump previously? I spent about an hour warping back and forth wondering why I couldn't leave until I did the obvious thing and upgraded the hyperdrive a little.

The problem? Budullangr is green.

Me dumb. You probably take shortcut to new galaxy. Still, sound advice methinks. :steamfacepalm:

Aren't you supposed to be able to warp to the center of the galaxy regardless of what your stats are so long as your ship's hyperdrive is fully fueled ? Is it fully fueled ?

Also freighters can't make the trip.

you can stack 3 S upgrades in the ship inventory and its tech part, 6 upgrades. Perhaps this will solve your problem.

Freighters can't make the trip? -Welp.
I tried with all of my ships, having the hyperdrive full fueled with warp cells, but can't warp to the centre. It can't just be selected as a system when I move the camera to the shining star.

I dunno if doesn't matter the stats of the ship for warping, but it isn't working not even with 0% hyperdrive distance (100ly), but also with +50% hyperdrive stats which is more than 2.000ly.

I'm getting annoyed by Hello games, probably. Such bugs.

at only about 627 LY i couldnt find a way to warp to the center either. i'm beginning to think i missed some quest/mission that made this possible, but i just dont know. am anxious to know the secret also!

You aren't meant to reach the exact center with a ship. The Atlas provides you with a portal to reach it at the center. 3k Light years from the very center with a ship is as close as you can get.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

You're on number 7> How did you get there before? First before you read all this tripe, did you make sure the hyperdrive is completely full.... and now this triipe LOL

wow, ok, you want to know how now. fgs. Open your galaxy map and change the path to Galactic Center -- let it show you center and click on it. Your hyperdrive needs to be absolutely FULL, I don't know why this is, but i just did for the second time about a half hour ago. you might have to exit and go back in a couple of times. Let it guide you to the center then click with the left mouse key or whatever engage key you have -- I use a pc so its left mouse key.
Before you go you will need a hermetic seal and about 400 ferrite. when you arrive you will stranded with every single piece of tech you have broken -- its best to not use your favorite ship, load your suit with sodium, oxygen, ferrite and carbon -- the basics and of course tech modules. Its just like the begining of the game -- fix scanner, find your ship.... have fun :)

Correct. You can NOT jump to the center, you can only jump through and you will be in another galaxy. Except you have the right warp drive. Somehow I reconized I had to click both mouse keys to finaly jump through instead of just with a left mouse click (PC)

I used every single type of ship maxed upgrades S class, and nothing works.

I have a lot of hours playing this freaking game, I think I'm not missing something. I'm at the number 7, because the game just throw me there after I did all the main quest at the Euclid Galaxy, right at the Atlas.

Wait, so you can't just warp to the centre solar system? I mean the galaxy centre.
I'm so confused now. Btw, I do play with Xbox one controller.

If you just warp through it, are not you just going on the other side of the same galaxy?
Also, this means I'll need double the warp distance than I actually need to reach the centre (3k ly).

Thanks guys.

First time through the hoop then? Not sure how the buttons map to a controller but if you follow the link in my previous post you'll see that I answered a similar question only yesterday, though I've yet to determine whether anyone besides me understood what I wrote. :steamsad:

no no no, actually you cna warp that particular three thousand lys in an radiant pillar -- you don't need to add warp capapbitly. Yes, just click on the Galactic Center Path and click go -- but your hyperdrive must be completely full

I tried, and nothing happens. Sorry, man.
Traveling to the other side of the centre is just weird, anyway it does say I can't reach that far. I can't even reach the centre which is only 3k ly, so I dunno.

My hyperdrive is completely full, the THING is aparently unclickable/unselectable.
Geez! :shigure2:

Nevermind, I've got it working. I think there is an issue with this, it kinda bugs.
I just warped to different systems near the one I was, and then one worked, and I was able to select the core.
:maple2:

Thank you all, and please remind these guys (Hello games) to fix this freaking game.
Not only gravity is broken...
Grollwerk Nov 3, 2018 @ 5:42pm
You can select it. It is tricky. I am also close to a core and I can not jump right away. I do a scan of the galaxy (left botton logo rotating). When this is done it mostly does some calculation when you had the core selected before. Then it says something like "Ready to jump". Then hold the left mouse button for a longer time until it jumps. With just one click it does not always take the jump.

PS: You where faster :) Congrats it worked

btw, just an aside to all this, you can set the exact galactic center in the saved game editor and when you log in, you'll find yourself in a complete void... no stars, no nothing... just a void. cant go anywhere, no planets, no stars, nothing to warp to. had to go back to the editor and rewrite my location :)
