Cant find an armorer

i built the terminal and it tells me to find an armorer but i cant find one

Armorer you can find in space stations while talking to the Alliens there.

A) Your quest must be active (check by pressing P on your keyboard)
B) You must check stations in a Vykeen system

Regarding A) yeah, the game WILL switch your selected mission quite frequently, always a must check, and
B) not always in a Vykeen system. I have gotten my Vykeen Armorer in a Gek system. He was hanging out in the little lounge on the side of the space station that has the Module vendors. And I have gotten my Overseer in a Kovack system, also in that lounge.

does the game direct me right to him or do i have to look at everyone? fo some reason i dont have a quest that gives me a marker leading to him.

When you have the mission active, you land in a station and exit your ship then an icon will show you right away there is the wanted NPC or not. No icon, no NPC in this station

In my case it turned out there were two different missions to find an armourer, once I selected the "right" one the icon showed (even that it was in another system) leading me to the NPC.

when it's time to get a farmer you just speak to every gek you find on every station, there won't be a mission icon
