Nautilon - summon anywhere?
After doing the Dreams of the Deep quest I warped off to another system that happened to have a water world, so I flew down to play with the sub. Tried to summon it: 'you don't own a Nautilon'. WTF? Swam down and crafted a summoning station. Tried to summon the sub: 'you don't own a Nautilon'.

The only way I was able to get access to the sub was to craft a landing pad for it. Bingo, there was my sub. Turned out I didn't need to leave the landing pad down there, so I deleted it afterwards.

So for the time being at least, it looks like you'll need to be able to craft a landing pad for the Nautilon whenever you want to use it in a new star system. Taught me a lesson: the sub's inventory held exactly what I needed to craft the landing pad but it was inaccessible until I'd built it. So now I'm carrying the salt and crystal sulphide I'll need next time in my exosuit; the metal plating I can easily craft anywhere.

I may be mistaken, but I believe thats how all the exocraft work

You can install a pad to summon all exocrafts in the planet.

I had the same issue with the Pilgrim - built a geobay, drove around for a bit and removed the bay thinking I'd not be needing it again. Whoops!

Note: you only need one 'bay per vehicle. Doesn't matter where; it could be several galaxies behind you and the thing'll still qualify as 'proof of ownership' until either it or your save file disappears in a puff of logic.

The general summons pad works wonderfully for all your vehicles.

It does appear to summon to anywhere on the planet without having to place one of those new Summon Beacon platforms.

I am doing the mission on one of my home planets and I have been able to call it in without the need for that extra trick.

Ehh NO... If you change planet you need to build a Geobay for the Nautilon first. You can however delete it afterwards to recover the materials because totally useless otherwise.
Also very nasty, and I hope HG changes it: the sub marker is only visible on foot not in your starship.

I just went to a new planet, in a new solar system. I crafted the generic summoning station and called my submarine. No problems. I then dismissed the summoning station and got all my materials back.
