Submarine Fuel ingredient - Cyto-Phosphate ?
Hi Folks,
Can anyone tell me where I can find the recipe or blueprint for Cyto-Phosphate?
It's required to build the new submarine fuel cells.
Thanks

You can harvest it in the water. Scan the plants...most have it as a part...think like underwater carbon.

Thanks Mr Butterflow. I l.ocated a reference to the stuff in the data mining article

it's the glowy red plants.

Dont forget to scan plants first as well, a couple have ferrite dust and rocks (at least on my planet) are absent underwater.

Been to several systems, even ones I haven't been to (thinking perhaps that it cached the planets I'd been to) and can't find it as a secondary resource of any under water plants... :(

It's the primary resource for at least 1 type of common deep sea underwater plant.

Hmm... I've been to many planets now, I see star looking plants (more tenticals than star, is that what you mean?), that one is just carbon. All the underwaters seem to be about the same, pillar looking things (Di-hyd), sea grass, kelp bulbs that replenish oxy and big clams that errupt... I see no Cyto-Phosphate when scanning any of the plants.

Sorry, they are only star-ball like on tropical planet. they look different on other planet types. I have updated the post above with a Screenshot for your reference. If you could tell me what biome type you are located, perhaps I can give you more info. :)

Thanks for the screen shot and replies! I haven't seen that on any of the planets so far. Not sure what you mean by biom, unfortunately the discoveries interface doesn't show the same thing that the scan data "C" does from space, always wondered what's up with that...

I'll keep looking... Thanks again!

Found it!

Nice!

Here is another screenshot from a different planet type.

Basically there is always a common underwater plant that has Cyto-Phosphate as its primary resource.

Not always common. I found exactly ONE plant with cyto-phosphate in the planet where I built a water base and Nautilon.

Can't even fuel the Nautilon to go looking for more and my health gets hammered much too hard before I can swim far enough away to find more. I might have to tear it all down and look for a better planet for my underwater adventures. Annoying as hell.

I haven't noticed them, but is it even possible to *buy* Nautilon fuel or cyto-phosphate somewhere?

Find another planet with water and collect Cyto-Phosphate there. It really is rather common normally. I load a few empty slots in Nautilon with the stuff and Salt too. No need to tear your base down. Craft a few stacks of Hydrothermal Fuel Cells.
Also, you can look for resources far out to sea using Nomad instead, which will save your Nautilon fuel and your Health. And don't forget the deployable Marine Shelter. : )

Come on, man. It's Bufferlow, not Butterflow. :D
But I can see you have a thing with names and letters.
Chuckle, I did :D
