With that out of the way. Real Talk- A sandbox game was actually fulfilling it's purpose of providing the tools for enjoyment of a game environment in any way a player wished to pursue, but the kid with the loudest scream wasn't happy. He thinks everyone has to build a castle to win and it makes him unhappy to see someone build a pyramid and enjoy the sandbox too. He doesn't like the player making sand angels and laughing happily either. It's castles or nothing!!!
This is what it boils down to. Hello Games, I hope you take notice. You are overlooking what got you a sudden surge of player base. The ability to play this game from multiple angles. It is currently PvE and Co-op. The economy approach vs storyline/mission approach negatively affects NO ONE. I have 140 hours in the game and I have killed maybe 4 sentinels and accidently killed 3 creatures.
I have played Ark, Rust, 7 Days to die etc.. with well over 4000 hours in total. Why did I pick this game up after the NEXT patch dropped? Because it was walking a fresh path and realizing what a sandbox truly is. Dont screw the pooch.
