Why is this game still $60, released in 2016
Almost 2019, game is still by default, $60. Just wondering what's the justification behind this.

What that made no sense... The games i play don't do that. you can browse through my games and check their release and price

Heck my favorite game For Honor had a rocky start such as this game, but they reduced the price, and did massive giveaways. And they give away free dlc and updates, and a big update is coming this october.

because

They don't really have a choice. Just think about it.
It does go on sale often to a more reasonable price, buy it then.

Sometimes there isn't a "why", and things are the way they are just because.

The justification for that price is that people will still buy it at that price. Like gasoline or alcohol.
People that sell stuff tend to like money and will charge as much as they can without killing sales.

Back in april when the Next patch was still WAY off in the future and nothing had happened with the game since last summer I got a PS4 copy for a friend on sale at Best Buy for $7.00.
Now it's popular again, BestBuy doesn't carry it any more and it's $79.99 cdn on the Playstation store.

Personally I don’t see a problem with the game being $60 and before anyone says anything, whether or not it’s worth $60 depends on the person and what they’re looking for, and as a preorder buyer I’m fully aware (and still using my preorder launch save) of ALLLLLL the bugs, and trust me there’s tons! Still missing a bunch of recipes and that’s the NON game breaking ones 😆

I understand the price tag because whether or not it’s right to charge $60 for the current game or not. It costs money for the dev team and bug fix patches and (in their case) major release patches don’t make them money, and bills are bills.

If they’re charging too much, then people won’t buy it and it will work itself out. I personally wouldn’t pay $10,000 for a watch but... some people find it worth it . People scoff at my $3,500 computer but, you get the point lol

Important lesson though!
So speaking of bugs. Almost lost a few hours progress but I learned something... don’t plant a medium refiner close to a wall... a friend bumped me when we jumped from another floor and spent an hour getting BOTH of us unstuck!

The fix: he re logged and I saved the game using a portable save point (be careful what you overwrite), and then once he was back I logged and rejoined but since he couldn’t edit my base while I was offline, he had to build 2 cubes where I was stuck WHILE I was loading in to allow him to create them

Wall of a post I know lol

AliKing, Couldn't you just delete the refiner and rebuild it when you were free?

How come I seen 0 posts about this on other games like CoD on here? Is there a reason?

Devs need money to pay for the yacht they bought in monthly payments in 2017, their crack hoes and the cocaine

I just realized yesterday how they were pricing this game when I reccommened it to a friend. In terms of actual content there's absolute no reason this game should $60.

I had some serious doubts about the price when the game was still at the 'Foundation' state. But now, sorry: it's fully worth 60 bucks, don't forget that all updates are not DLCs so lowering the price would be strange to say at least...
Also ever heard about sales? On Steam prices can drop to -50%, I have seen it several times for this game.

Guys, come on, pay attention to what I said above.
It's very valid here.

No, it's a dumb point of semantics. No one is saying no one is willing to pay $60 (I'll speak for myself, I didn't/wouldn't), just that it's not an acceptable price for an unfinished game with shallow features and game breaking bugs everywhere and very little quality of life fixes. Especially comparaitively to other titles in it's price range. I was very suprised when I saw the current price for what I've come to see of all of the NEXT update.
