Why do I still fire bolts/nades when I leave the multi tool on boltcaster mode and I press click to bring it out? how do you want me to bring it out then? Switch fire mode, okay, but really this should have been fixed already, I find myself killing myself (2 times with nades) while in building mode because I need to click the LMB to back out of the menu, and that causes the stupid holster system to unholster my gun and shoot a damn nade if I leave it in boltcaster, or wasting ammo because I want to bring my MT out but I keep forgetting I need to switch fire mode first otherwise ill keep wasting ammo.

It's stupid, PLEASE, make it so the first time you press RMB/LMB you only unholster your gun first, then the second time you press it shoot , simple as that, it works that way with the terramorpher AND the mining laser, why does it have to be this lame way with the boltcaster..

So, you would rather keep having an "issue", rather than opening the settings, and making a 3sec time consumming change?

Again, I don't need grenades. There is nothing, not even a Walker, that is challenging enough to need them, even on hardest mode the game is a walkthrough in that regard.

They fixed something that wasn't broken. I refuse to sweep that under the carpet, encouraging such design activity. Fired.
You are not making much sense. You say above, that its not a problem, because you dismatled your nade. but, then complain that you are still switching secondaries, when you dont want to. Thats all tied to the SAME keybind.
If you have a mouse, with just one extra button on it, then change the KB to THAT button. And, never have an "issue" again.
Again, I say, take 3sec's to change your keybind, and you stop having anything to be mad about...For now...
I do work around things mate, I've been a coder for three decades. In this case I prefer to provide feedback that the design change is incorrect.

The only part that bugs me now is Scope won't hold for long. No keybinding will allow that to remain defaulted.

But, seriously though. Whats this about your Scope not "holding"?
Are you saying that when you right click, for the scope, it returns to "unscoped"?
If so, that sounds more like a mouse issue. I have changed my KB for switching secondaries. But, I have yet to have the scope not work because of the keybind.
Could you discribe that a little more?
For real, I'm self-employed and this is my trade, forever more or less.

The scope, so I press X then select the first icon, then select to change secondary weapon to Scope. Give it an hour and things are back to the shield appearing each time that I exit the inventory. Normally that would be a grenade going off, implemented by a design-terrorist!
Like Iv agreed with, putting the "switch secondary" and using the same button, to dismatle, and discard, is your problem. When you use the MMB to discard/dismatle something, it switched your secondary too.
Just change the button, for switching your secondary, and you will not have another problem. Please try it, before knocking it.
Yes, they should have thought about this bind option, befroe implenting it. But, it doesnt stop you from taking control, and changing the bind that is causing the issue.

Playing it since 2 yrs never had this problem I exit menus slow with esc or back, rmb and lmb are not the only way out of a menu,crafting,building, inv etc smh

To holster weapon press Q I press LMB and it holsters it and never fires a nade never did so who have this error of killing self with plasma nade obviously is doing something majorly wrong besides spamming like a child with no paitience playing a game that requires lots of it maybe wrong game for you simple solution for the complainers or make your own game sounding like pro programmers know how it should work right lol.

Yeah, you say that because you probably don't even have the plasma launcher yet because your ape brain can't figure out the tutorial yet.

I agree and fair enough. However, it was already great and recently has been changed so I voiced that it was a backwards design change. It would be easier not to change it at all from verions zero to current - 1.

I guess I will change it and never see a shield again until next time I stand in front of a Walker and have a break.

Why would you never see your sheild again? That makes no sense. If you change you keybind to aanother button on your mouse, or KB, then you can still access your shield, from that new keybind.
