Cryo-Pump, should i bother?
After many missions i get a galactic mission from my freighter to go and steal blueprint for Cryo-Pump...i get excited because i heared about the money you can make with it.

So i go to this mission...it´s a protected doors...with 2 "dogs" and a freakin walker or whatever they are called. I try to go for it...and maaaaan are they brutal....i finally get in...steal the blueprint and escape to my ship...and the game bugs out! I have a 4-5 sentinal warning that NEVER goes away. So i go to my base and save the game (at save point)...reload...and the mission is now gone. Like it never happened.

I can go back to my freighter and get the mission again....but i do know that i will get beaten badly....and heared about the nerfed Cryo-Pumps....is it worth it? Should i just abandon the mission? Maybe focus on farming and trading to get cash.

If you plan to craft, you should achieve to get all blueprints. Not necessary to do a mission to get it.

Cryo pumps werent nerfed. What was nerfed was the availability of tier 1 mats being sold in station terminals.

Crafting is, to me, endgame income and the easiest way to make money after all the investment in getting blueprints and suplementary farms for crafting tier 5 items.

Be wary, strange aliens who want things done, are trying to kill you. lol those missions CAN be done and the Walkers can even be killed by hand. some research on walker brains would give pointers. Now that said the cryo pump is part of the steps for the Artimis quest I think. you will eventually construct the items to be able to use the HOLO-towers as I recall. there are other ways to get the blueprint I think. also a trick on that mission and the depot mission is that you can find another location to finish it, and when I found a random harvester location it did not spawn a walker, not sure if that always works but did for me at least once.

It may have been a mistake to leave the building. If you remain, they will search for 30 seconds and go back to norm.

Then you can stroll to your ship.

Do you think i will get the Cryo-Pump even if i don´t do this mission? How much is a Cryo-Pump worth? Are they easy to make once you have the blueprint?

That walker or one of the dogs actually damaged me when i was INSIDE the building. That´s why i ran out.

What is not being sold at station terminals anymore?

Worthy?, you make hundreds of millions every day with a basic farm of some biodromes.

You must work hard for it though, you need to unlock a bunch of recipes, but some days of production sites hunting and you become space Rockefeller.

If you get the 5 star wanted rating that won't end there is a way to fix it. Get in your ship and fly in to space. this will alert the sentinel space fighters but drop your wanted level to 1 or 2. Then immediately turn around and land again and lose your wanted level by hiding from the ground forces (building, hole in the ground, running around like a madman).

Statis Devices make a lot of money, more than the cryo pumps

The reason players do farming are to craft those things, it 's something like endgame Units making thingy.

We can't tell you if you should bother or not. Do you NEED it? No, it's a luxury.

It's a decent source of income, but it also involves a lot of running around trying to get all the intermediary step blueprints to craft the thing. There are many other decent sources of income, some easier to setup, others just as complicated.

Then you need to set up either the infrastructure to produce the materials yourself, or expand your teleporter network to trade for the materials needed.

So, to be done properly, it requires quite a bit of time invested, while you could be getting units by many other means instead, a little bit at a time.

After having the infrastructure to mass produce the cryo-pumps, or stasis devices, or cryo-chambers, or whatever your end goal is, you'll find out that you run out of things to buy with all those units fairly quickly.

So, it's only worth doing for the sake of doing it, not for the rewards. If you take pleasure in setting up the infrastructure, if the process is fun for you, or a goal that you set for yourself, by all means, go for it. If it's unfun, don't.

If the Quads are giving you trouble, leave it for now. Get a better Multitool and some upgrades and you can take them on with confidence. (They do have the 'ability' to bug through walls when they charge at you; so they might be able to attack you inside)
Also, when you hit Five 'stars' wanted by sentinels there is no timeout. Save and reload, or hop in your ship and leave the planet then go back down to reset that.

wanted level 4 > fly to space > wanted level 1 > fly back to planet before space police arives > exit ship > wanted level 2 > enter ship and hover around for a minute > sentinels deactivated

also with a max upgraded scatter blaster (or any other weapon i assume) you can pretend the sentinels arent even there as you destroy a door in a mere 6 shots.

And with 3 S-rank suit shield upgrades you can let the small flying sentinels shoot at you almost indefinitely. It would take at least 5 minutes for 'em to bring it down enough that you'd start thinking about dealing with them. ^^

Don't reload your game when you have an active freighter mission board task. You will lose it most probably.

Also those missions are mostly worth it not for the rewards alone but for increasing your ranking with the mission taskers faction.

You dont need to do the same thing again and again to make money. You will get it eventually.
