decide for yourself the % added is not alot but if min/max it does lol
have fun
But(Unless its a bug)
I have tried this out between two identical ships. I found, that, without seeing a code log, the actual numbers, it doesnt matter where the upgrades are placed, As long as you keep the upgrades "linked". (next to each other).
The way I like to set my own up: In the tech slots. I put things like the scanners, teleporter, etc. Things that dont really need, or have "upgrades".
Then, in the inventory, what kind of upgrades, depends on the ship.
For a hualer, I try to do the thusters, drive, and shileds.
Fighter/explorer. I choose one weapon, and get as many S class upgrades as i can. Same for shields. But, I dont worry so much about thusters and drives.
Each station you visit will normally have at least one S class upgrade, for each of your Equipment. Suit/Ship/Tool
There is NO point in trying to get every "gun"or attachment. Choose the best for what you are trying to do. And, upgrade those to the max. If you dont like an attachment. Or want to change. Dismantal, and go another route.
I seen too many upgrades, and attachments in my buddies play. He was talking about not having any room. Now that they streamlined their inventory,. they are enjoying having the cargo space. Especially on their ships.
And just use whatever upgrades you think you need. Also, I would recommend *not* using this as your main ship, unless inventory space isn't a problem for you
mine is probably doing too much... combat warp-ship with not even maxed slots. But you can see how I put the cannons and shields together and had to scramble to deal with the warp drive stuff. my equip slots are only 5 and hold econ scanner, 3 engines, and the final hyper upgrade. And its way too cramped, but it does until I get a better one.

I have some upgrades shopping to do.
