other i can think of is attacking very dangerous pirate, so far hardest i seen is 3 star one... but when come close to him u relize he actually have helpers and 5-6 ships attack you same time... this is harder then freighter/frigate defense events
I'm also assuming you still can't kill them, and they just warp away after a while.

Also usually nearby crafts always help during fights, so there seems to even be no point in defence chits.
NMS is a game with huge potential but HG sometimes are afraid to upset people and make everything easy, 'chill' and hand held. Either they want the game to be this way OR they are bad at their own game and find it challenging. ;P
So make them bullet sponges to increase challenge? No.
