Starship inventory disappeared?

I just loaded my game today and all of my inventory on my starship has disappeared. :( Has this happened to anyone else? Any way I can get it back?? It's rough because all my large stacks of stuff that I've grinded for is gone and will take hours to reobtain..

Make sure that the game didnt just swap your ship for a second ship or something.

If you checked thru every ship youve got, then the only thing I can suggest, is a save game editor, give yourself back your items.

Hmm.. I have zero recollection of my ship exploding but it has been about a week since I played. *Ponderous*. Would my exosuit inventory be gone too then? How would I find my grave?

Edit: actually, I don't think my ship has ever been destroyed so I think I would remember it.

If your ship explodes, you only lose your starship inventory

This happened to me today. I own only one starhip, and I was not killed, nor did I lose a starship battle. I was out exploring on foot. I got back to my base. My starship was sitting on my base's landing pad. I crafted some Living Glass, and then opened my inventory to discover - the entire ship inventory was empty, and one of the ship's modules was damaged.

It was the same ship I have been flying for the past several days of gameplay, it had not been swapped with another ship.

Fortunately, I had a manual save (from 2 hours previous) where my starship was intact. So, I loaded that and started from there. Better to lose that 2 hours of time than all the value that had previously been in the ship's inventory.

However, in my case, I am sure this is some sort of bug or glitch, and I lost a significant amount of enjoyment. It is not fun to have to re-do all the quests I had completed during that 2 hours of lost time.
