Might be something to do with the DS4 implementation you are using on your PC.
I'll try one of the DS4 I have. Maybe I need to get an Xbox controller. I know it would make it easier.
The Elite Controller is GREAT for this game. Having the assignable paddles on the bottom along with the optional backlit ChatPad is fantastic on a PC. You get all the control of a GamePad along with access to all the keybindings of a Mouse and Keyboard setup. All in one handheld device.
The Elite also provides two stored controller configs at one time, so I have NMS on one position and Elite Dangerous on the other. You just flip a two way toggle to change the button layout for the game you are playing. In my case, that is almost always NMS and Elite Dangerous. My NMS settings work perfectly for GTA5, so I don't even need a special config for GTA.
You can save as many of these as you want and just load them in and out of the controller using the companion app.
I LOVE my DS4s on my PS4 Pro... But when it comes to using a GamePad on my Gaming PC, the Elite smokes everything else. Including the DS4.
They are not cheap, but they are worth it if you play a lot.
So you don't have to keep changing inputs.
I can make the different tabs, but I didn't see how to them work properly.
I don't understand what you mean by "Tabs". ?? You shouldn't need to have different controller configs for different parts of the game. One size fits all as far as I am concerned.
Never felt the need to change what any of the buttons or sticks do based on what I am doing in-game.
Thanks to everyone for your help.
