Where to find S class hauler
Currently been collecting one of everything s-class, got 2 exotics, one s class fighter, and an s class explorer. Anyone know where to find S class haulers and shuttles. Every rich gek boi system I visit just has exotics.

They are in Gek systems, just have to cross your fingers for luck.

Or.. check out GTID's youtube channel if you want a specific look.

Gather 150M+ credits.

Put on a crappy ship.

Find a system that has large haulers that you think are pretty. Go there.

Find a trading post in that system. Go there.

Put a beacon or save point at the back of the top of the very highest point on the post (the "chimney" or whatever). I think beacon is a better idea because you may give up after a while and want to come back later.

Stand in front of the beacon and save. Now:

(a) Reload.

(b) Scan the 4 ships that land with your visor. Wait for more if you feel like it.

(c) If one of them is a 48 slot S class hauler, fly down to it and you're done.

(d) Else, goto (a).

It will probably take a few hours. I'm not sure that it matters *that* much whether the system is rich or broke.

Along the way you will probably see the system's exotic a few times. Maybe you want that too.

48 slot S-class "blue glow" haulers in this[imgur.com] system in Euclid. They land pretty frequently, along with the less expensive A & B class, also high slot count.

Just a side note to the great instructions provided above. If you have room for another ship and a freighter you can "add to collection" instead of "trading/swapping" ships when you buy the new one. The ship you leave behind should end up back at your freighter when you reload. Good luck!

One more thing if you are familiar with the save editor (if not you can search for info here or on the web), You can modify the appearance of your ship using the editor and a "seed" from this site.

So, once you find a large S class Hauler with nice bonuses, you don't need to search for more of the same just for a different look unless you are a glutton for punishment. :-)

According to the game wiki, the best ships (and freighters) should be in wealthy systems where their spawn probability is increased. This doesn't mean you are guaranteed to find them, but just that it's more likely to find them there.
In NEXT, ships are consistent with their NPCs (see them once at stations etc. and you will see them return also in other locations), if you don't find what you want then don't lose time but warp elsewhere.

Also all maxed-out starships have a particular design to look for.

the reason behind this is if you get lucky then it means something to you. instead of it being handed to you which would mean nothing.

play the game long enough and explore as many wealthy systems you can and you might find something even better than this screenshot

It would be convenient to be able to build ships, but sometimes you just need to embrace RNGeezus. This is one of them.

Or, for example, when playing slot machines. Would you rather avoid all the fuss and have it give you back 75 cents every time you put in a dollar?

Because that's what you're asking.
