Can i have more than one ship in my freighter?

Hello fellows No Man's Sky players.
I recently got a freighter and im asking myself if i can store my ships here. I have an Exotic S Class Ship but inventory is pretty low, and i want to buy a ship with more inventory slots but i also dont want to loss my Exotic Ship.

If i can, and in the future i buy a New freighter, i wont loss my ships, right?

Yes, you can store up to 5 extra ships and have one active for a total of 6. Buying a ship and leaving it in station will have it show up on the freighter when you arrive.

Switching freighters does not affect them and they will transfer over automatically when you buy and replace your old one.

Getting into a new ship will switch your "active ship". You can even leave supplies in the other ships to use as extra storage

Be warned, once bought they can only be exchanged for another. They cannot be sold

Also note. Once you get 6 ships the NPC ships stop landing on your freighter (even though there are 3 spare slots left). Not sure if those 3 spots are reserved for multiplayer. Whatever the reason the NPCs will not use them.

That is exactly what the other 3 are for, so that if you warp your freighter in multiplayer, all your friends can jump on as well. It's unfortunate it keeps NPC's from still landing in single player.
