i7 8700k and 1080ti 4k = bad performance?

So that is my setup, but for some reason, trying to run this game in 4k is giving me really bad performance. I'm getting stuttering hwile turning, and looking off hillsides is like looking at a old time movie picture. it's that bad fps.

10 series cards are faulty. They suck in all kinds of games. You won`t hear that from anywhere except a well informed gamer.

oh thats why i get in like most games more performance than my 970 ... r9 390 and stuff with my 1080 OC.

Apparently this type of new information that nobody has reported can ONLY come from a "well informed gamer" so how woulld we know better? HAHA!!! Sometimes you read things on the Internet and think to yourself "this has to be a joke" But no most of the time people are seriously just delusional.

I have i7 4770 - 16gb ram - gtx 1080sc ...

Installed yesterday... Used Geforce Experience to set optimal and it runs great...

I don not have a 4K monitor so run in 1080p - runs flawlessly... Really glad I finally upgraded.

I can tell I have the same hardware except mine is 1080FE with an 8700K. I have none of your problems. So, look elsewhere. Unless, of course, your hardware is somehow damaged. Also, a 1080FE has got some things that a 1080ti does not have. I play naxed out and nothing turned off o an Ultra-wide BenQ.

The UI is not crap for 21:9. If you have a problem then it's not configured correctly.

As for the entire subject, why bring it up now when everything is going to change in a couple of days. Wait until then, see how it works, and then bring up any issues.

I may be wrong, but it seems to me I have among the best CPU's to play the game. Last time I checked, the good old reliable i7-4790K has the fasted single thread speeds. Now mine was something like the 8th fastest, being the i7-4790 (without the K). I sport an overclocked 950, and have few complaints.

lol. yeah, 1080OC is a bad card. Everyone should have a 1080OC in my humble opinion then we wouldn't hear all the whinging about can't play the game. But our "well informed gamer" thinks otherwise. xD

Wow thank you all for the responses! I made some changes to the settings, and forced settings in GeForce. Control Panel. It did make a HUGE difference. I'm seeing almost no frame drop now, and the game runs smooth in 4k.

I do like my 4k, but its only 60hz, and not like a 120 or 144. I am thinking about going wide screen or a 144 hz 1440p. Anybody have experience with that? I would love the feedback, and thanks again to everybody for the help :)

Anyone has 1070? What fps you have on max+1080p ? I want to compare to mine so I could know how far I am off.

What kinda drugs are you on? I've had 1070 for the better part of a year and I haven't run into a single issue that wasn't software related. Citation before statement.

What worked for me was doing the following:

1) Go to Nvidia Control Panel and select NMS.
2) Enable Tripple Buffering
3) Enable V-sync / Fast Sync is the best option for me.
4) Disable Vsync in-game
5) Set the framerate to "Maximum" in-game.

The framerate is a stable 60fps for me after applying this fix; with some minor drops to 50-55 in very dense areas.

I actually have a system with a 1070 built, and I was running 1080p max with 60 fps constant. I did change some settings again through GeForce Control Panel. It's incredible how forcing GeForce to globally run certain settings has changed my gaming experience.

definitely trolling. i7 6800 + 1080 and the game is constantly running at god speed
