i7 8700k and 1080ti 4k = bad performance?
So that is my setup, but for some reason, trying to run this game in 4k is giving me really bad performance. I'm getting stuttering hwile turning, and looking off hillsides is like looking at a old time movie picture. it's that bad fps.

10 series cards are faulty. They suck in all kinds of games. You won`t hear that from anywhere except a well informed gamer.

Use the Gforce Experience to optimize the graphics setting... Cap the frames at 60..

What is the capability of your monitor?

Geforce experience lol You should just have a console if you even bring that up for real.

Mine runs fine, 3440x1440. Worse cpu and a 1080, uncapped frames gsync monitor

Is it installed on a solid state hard drive? Becuase that can help. There are lots of performance enhancing threads if you look on reddit and some include the config files themselves. https://hellogames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002807229-My-frame-rate-is-bad. With my 6700k and 1080ti on a solid state not m.2 i get 45 fps running at 4k (3840x2160). I turned shadow down to high but everything else is at max. 70fps is acceptable to me, I dont see any stuttering or other bad effects. I have my fps limited at 90 with vsync off.

I can tell I have the same hardware except mine is 1080FE with an 8700K. I have none of your problems. So, look elsewhere. Unless, of course, your hardware is somehow damaged. Also, a 1080FE has got some things that a 1080ti does not have. I play naxed out and nothing turned off o an Ultra-wide BenQ.

check nvidia gforce experience and you can pull the bubble to performance or quality...this made my game rlly laggy atleast i got 970 gtx and now i can play without problems

Your hardware currently matters very little. The game has always lacked full optimization. We've known this for a long time now. Thats about to change though. NEXT in addition to all the new content will come with a great deal of optimization with better and less demanding textures.

You could try DDU to clean out our drivers. I have the same hardware. I7 8700K 5ghz, 1080 Ti Hybrid 2050mhz, 16gb DDR4 3000mhz and dnt have these issues. You can try installing the game on an SSD. I would try a fresh install of the game and the Nvidia drivers. Download HW info to monitor your sstem while in game. Check max temps of CPU,GPU,VRM's of your motherboard. Anything that could cause throttling. Nvidia driver 391.35 seems to be the most stable driver with the least issues so try installing that driver. It seems to have slightlly better performance than the newest drivers.
