My Base an abandoned structure...???
So I built another base to extract some minerals elsewhere and haven't been to my first base for a while. Now the teleport list tells me it's labeled "an abandoned structure". What does that mean? Can it be plundered, or destroyed by others, or npc's?

Seems you didn't place a device to locate or mark that designated are into your another base.. CMIMW

Base computers generate a random base name after placing them. This name is usually generated based on the region the computer is at. So I guess you put the computer in or close to an npc building, like a trading post or minor settlement, and the base computer 'catched' the name of that building.

You can rename your bases accessing the base computer.

If the text is in brackets it could just be telling you about a quest objective in that system.

Could also be that you base is built close to a nearby existing structure, in this case an abandonned building.

I had a base near some ruins, and originally wandered why I had the popup saying "Ruins of XXXXX" everytime I approached my base from the south.

AFAIK, if you have multiple bases in a system, only one will show up as your "home" base. I think you can still see the icons for the other bases, but they will not have a name.

I don't know if you really have a specific "home" base. All my bases simply show as "Your base" with the same white icon, even when I have multiple ones in the same system or planet, while everyone else's bases show as "XXXXX's base" with the same purple icon.

The name you actually give the base only shows in Station and Anomaly transporters.
