S class ships?
I found a ship in a system that I absolutely love, but the highest tier I've seen for it is A class. Are there some ships, in some systems, that are just not S class ships, or do I just need to wait around a little more?

My current ship is an A class so I'd only consider upgrading to an S class ship at this point.

I found a "S" exotic at the start of the Abysis on survival. It was drowned ship and I swapped for a S exotic on the planet I had my base near a small outpost. A regular "S" class even landed in my freighter and I wish I got it, but it went away so fast. It had way more inventory than my exotic. I think you find "S" class in wealthy type systems, but after the beyond update I don't know?

I've found a few S class ships at random as well, but I don't have an economy scanner to know how wealthy the system was. I get the sneaking racially biased notion that, since they were Gek systems, they might've been though.

Every system has an Exotic. They are always S class. Medium and high wealth systems have a chance of spawning the regular ships as S class. Unless it was changed, high wealth systems have a 2% chance, medium wealth 1% and poor systems no chance. If you bring up the galaxy map, or look at the Discoveries page, you can see what economy the system is.

Which ship? Type (Shuttle, Explorer, Fighter?). Gek system then probably Hauler. You can try to generate S-Class of that ship. Just wait on Orbital Station or Trade Center. If this one not appear as a S-class, then reload last save and wait again. Time consuming procedure. Sometimes game not allows to generate S-class seed of chosen ship.
Easiest way is to buy this ship as is and 'cheat' with SaveEditor. I don't like that way.
If you put screen of this ship here, then maybe someone give you galaxy adress to the portal where you can find same ship as this one you chose as a perfect S-class.
My last exchange (perfect S-class to perfect S-class) is this one:

I'm just like winged haulers.

After hopping stations for a bit, I found the system it was on again.

Unfortunately, as its economy is listed as "destitute", I'm gonna say that it can't spawn an S class ship.

But this is what I want. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1898648344

The engine shape is negotiable and the nose is negotiable to a POINT...literally; I want something with a tapered nose and there are a couple of those on fighters I notice, but everything else is EXACTLY what I want in a ship.

My current ship looks kinda like this but different colors and its engine is more boxy, it's also white and aqua with red accents instead of green and gold with blue. I would honestly also take my current ship as an S class if this one is impossible to find.

I DID find a system that I think has a good economy though, it was a mercantile Gek system that was listed as "balanced" but its icon was gold instead of white. I found this hauler in it that I quite like as well, although I'd never use a hauler as my main ship, having decent cargo space for once would be super.

The shape is what I like but the color is negotiable between the green and blue range, just nothing with too many warm colors and I'm happy.

If anyone has some advice for me, that'd be neat.

I have no idea how I'd fast-travel there though tbh... I'm still not really able to hop long distances across the cosmos and I'm not sure how to go about that except to get a better freighter?

Also is it some kind of unspoken law of Atlas that all explorer-class ships must look as horrendous as possible?

Ive used this guide, which has helped me a lot in the game. It has some clear methods on finding S class items, as well as a lot of great info.

This is T1 Fighter and that means: you never get it as perfect (38+12 slots). S-class is possible, but max is probably 19+6. Something like this one:

T3 Fighter looks like this:

Always those additional, side engines.

You can get this hauler from second screenshot as a perfect (48+8) S-class, but remember that those cost 129milion units.

Do they have T3 fighters that don't look like ♥♥♥♥? (AKA actually look like planes and not bricks of metal with tiny wings?)
