Visiting someone else's base?
Okay so I'm looking at my achievements, meager that they are , and i see one I had thought I had accomplised was still lerft undone. That one being Paying a visit to someone else's base. I went thru 'workshop' and subscribed to three other players bases, and restarted the game as sugested it might be necessary, and went to the other players base via the space ship, looked around, admired their work , as it was to be admired, and then left. I exited out of the visit, and started to play my game. Now did I miss something or are they talking about finding an actual other player in MY game and visiting his base in my game setting?
thank you.

Workshop bases won´t count to get that achievement. You´ll have to find a base ingame (and, as mentioned before, register your visit).

I'm not sure, but you may have to interact with the main panel of the base (where you would claim a base). I've visited one base and don't have the achievement either, but seem to recall somebody mention that.

You have to log your visit via the base's control panel

Okay, I went to the other players base again and accessed the base terminal. It indiacted that I was just a guest and logged as such. I then walked around a little bit and exited to desk top, restarted the computer and restarted NMS. At that time it did not indicate the acheivement. So I will wait till tommorow and recheck. Perhaps it needs time to work through the system.
Thank you again.

Thank you. I take it that this is an extreme achievement as I've not met another player in over 1000 hrs.

look for galactic hub or amino hub on google. you´ll find there a lot of bases in different dificulties that you can visit..
creative mode does not work for the achievement too btw.

Well, it used to be a very difficult (but greatly rewarding) challenge, before there were functional Portals... Nowadays it is more like finding some Glyphs, a shared sequence/coordinate and going for a chilled walk on another travellers planet :)
