Coprite how to get?

Got quest to plant coprite but need coprite for this. On wiki surce say "... can be obtined by feedeng creatures" and "... can be found on some planets as a bi-product..." how i can get this or where to search?

Hmm yeah I mean they dig it up but it has been referenced as poop several times.

i think that's because of the similarity between coprite and coprolite (fossilized poo)

If your scanners permit, you can sometimes find coprite as a trace element of plants. It may also be in some minerals, but I am not sure. Have not needed it in a long time.

Feeding the animals is the sure way.

True that. I needed 20 coprite last night to "bribe" a Gek (I do NOT want to imagine what it did with the stuff). Luckily the local version of the whip-weed plant yielded some carbon plus 1-4 units of coprite. I hate those damned plants so the resulting harvest was quite satisfying.

They poop it. just watch them. Chase and feed as many critters as you can, and then stand around for a litte bit and watch for the little red, i think i remember it being red, icon indficating that you can take your little (doggie) bag and clean up your new friends little deposdit. hahaha!!

P.S. Please do not try to feed the PREDATORS. Shoot them , for they give you Mordite
