No, but you can always try putting a marble on your W key.

Don't you think that is incredibly lazy? Oh it must be hard to hold down your W key.

I play a lot of games, and work with computers.. I work with computers all day and then play various games.. Check how many games I have in my library. All that adds up on arthritis.

Where do people come up with this garbage? Lol. Seriously.. Is it a crime to have an auto walk button? Other games do it because it's common sense to have that instead of holding down the W key all th etime. I don't have to explain that.

Even old games like Everquest have an auto run/walk key which is Numlock. Yes, I'm perfectly aware that a lot of games don't have this feature, but that doesn't mean more games shouldn't have this feature.

I made this suggestion on Solace crafting (early access game) and they put it in that feature; it's a good feature to have.

Wow...someone's tampon got stuck.
100% Agree with OP. Every game that has a lot of walking should think of this. Not only for auto walk, but auto sprint, auto whatever.

♥♥♥♥ the haters they don't understand. Why the ♥♥♥♥ should I ruin my valueable working middle finger on W key on every game?

Marble suggestion is good, sticky keys is good, those small weighs from some mechanical scales, etc. Something easy and small enough to put on W and remove.

Use a keyboard with programmable macros and setup a toggle for w.

Totally agree with the original poster. I like No Man's Sky but this is one of the few games I play with WASD movement that doesn't have an auto-movement toggle key. Seems like a no-brainer simple feature, I have no idea why it's not in this game.
Jez Hammond Aug 18, 2018 @ 9:27am
Marbles, penny, meh I used a key jammed above...though I can't remembe why I needed it at the time but it was this game one year ago!

Actually the designers _have_ thought of this. As we toggle walk/run rather than hold down shift. Personally I would take an exo-craft if searching on foot, then fly home after.
