How do you repair your freighter?

My freighter got attacked by bandits which some other ships help get rid of them, i killed some and went to down to the planet and let the ai mop them up, but the battle raged on and so i came back and killed the bandits. I noticed on my ship, the hull seem exposed and damaged. But i have no way to my knowledge to repair this? it could be the turrets on the ship are damaged too.

I would of thought the Captain would of comm me to tell me he was taking damage.

So how do i repair the hull. I dont have any shield tech installed on it because i dont have BP for those if freighters can have similar tech installed as smaller ships?

You don't? There really nothing to repair, as the damage is only cosmetic. Your freighter cannot be destroyed no matter what. Try warping to another system to see if the damage is reset.

Ok thanks. Hasn't happened before. I hope it does stay indestructable post Next update. But perhaps your turrets could be taken out and once the hull is breached from attacks raiders can take some storage items. But your Freighter will survive. Maybe just having to repair turrets. If this was something that will happen, then i expect we will have BP for better turrets and different types and possiblt sheild deflectors (not sure if those can be installed at present- im guess not since ship is indestructable). Maybe turrets cannot be repaired until hull is fully repaired. Also would be cool if u could hire fighter ships to follow and defend your freighter with an upkeep cost depending how many you hire. This could also be handy for jumping to hostile systems where u might fly back to your freighter if attacked by players - so your defending fighters will be around to back you up.
