FIX FALLING THROUGH THE WORLD!

This is the 2nd time I've fallen throug the world while mining and lost a significant amount of work to having to quit out. MAKE A DAMN /STUCK command to teleport me to the surface!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be more careful and save often, also don't hurry to get out of your ship until you are sure the terrain was already generated. Yes it should be fixed, but meanwhile you have to avoid losing all your work.

heh, only time i fell throughthe ground was oddly in the extra station. went to go up a ramp and fell through it xP.

never have i been mining, or hopped out of my ship on a planet and fell through.

achtually, each time you landing your ship, the game autosaved. So when the glitch happens, just reload your save.. problem solved.

I have not had this happen since before 1.3... Before then I did fall through the terrain a couple times but nothing major.

No map or game is going to be perfect.

After you land, wait until you see all of the foilage has spawned in. Then exit out of your ship. It won't happen again.

This has happened to me as well You fall through and into water. The ground above you is like a window and you see the bottom of various land formations and Fauna. I could raise above the water but could not get out. It only happened after mining a large deposit such as gold or Emeril and it always startted at the DAWN of the following day. After falling through twice I started watching the grround inside the mined out deposit and was able to avoid falling in again. One time I got out of the deposit ( on hostile worlds I dig a hole in the deposit and mine from the inside out), and I found some of the surronding terain was corrupted as well. I took screen shots and uploaded them. It was like looking through a window pane onto another world.You just have to watch yor feet after mining for extended periods of time

When you mine the pillars that stretch underground there will always be a line where you can fall through. After a certain amount of mining you need to save. The glitch always appears if you mine down.

I fall thru the ground heaps when racing the nomad on a track. Same when laying out a track at my base.

And I've completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lost my 2000 Gold falling through the ground of a small chunk while I was mining a Gold rock. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ how much money to pay for this indie title again?
Worst of all, is the game on my SSD, What is the developers excuse?

+At least ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ games compared to this has a /unstuck command. Oh wait. We're the special bunch, my bad. I sincerely apologise.

I feel ya. Everytime I try to get back into this game some massive glitch chases me away. Rather than adding content and breaking everyones saves every update, how about some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugfixes.

This is a nasty bug, but you can easily avoid it by not walking around in an area that you're mining. I've seen one or two other glitches in the mesh that weren't caused by mining, but I've never fallen into one since I stopped walking in areas that I have mined.

On my side when I felt through the ground was usually when I was tunneling my way upward from a cave back to surface with the terrain manipulator, and sometimes, when you aim / hit too close to you, you achieve the same result.

But yeah as many other mentionned, try to save often, and specially with ridicusly low price of the cost of the saving point, there are no real excuse to not save often enough so you don't loose some serious game time.

But yeah indeed (without any joke in it) we all play a different game. It's the same game, but we all play it differently, and what may happen often to one, may absolutely not hit an other player... because we play it differently.

I almost never stay really long on the same planet
I almost NEVER mine for extended perids.
I never mine under my feet, and always stays at distance from what I mine
I never care to mine a full Gold (or whatever neutral deposit that is), because I mine only what I need for the time beeing, and mining is not a fun way to earn credits, even early on to me. (I most of the time have barely enough patience to mine at most 500 on those)
Further more, I almost never explore by foot, hence, most (not all, but most) of my mining happen while beeing in the exocraft

So yeah, definitely, all what happens to those guys while mining may never (and have indeed never happened) to me while mining, but had in other occasions like I mentionned, while tunneling with terrain manipulator.

sounds like you are outrunning your computer's ability to generate terrain. slow down a bit and give your computer a chance to catch up.

Don't play NMS on a potato that can't generate the world properly. I've never fallen throught the map. Or experienced a single bug in this game. Ever.
