Freighter won't follow me after going through a black hole (problem solved - thanks!)
I went through a black hole to a new solar system with my hauler. When I got to the new system I went to the space station. Then I flew out of the space station and tried to call my freighter but I got a "freighter cannot warp" message. My freighter is fueled up and I have warped in it before. My understanding was freighters could follow you after going through a black hole. What am I doing wrong?

Try a different area. Just hit full thrusters a few second away from fleets and stations. I'll bet your freighter silhouette is red. Move until it is green, and try again.

You don't need warp cells to summon your freighter. I have never seen this error, but haven't gone through a BH in a very long time.

Do you have any mods installed? There are some mods that have been noted as causing these type of issues. If you do, try temporarily disabling them.

I suppose, that you are not far away enough from the space station. There is a region near space stations and NPC freighters, where you are not able to call your freighter. So fly a little. If you are able to call the freighter, it is colored green otherwise red ;)

I haven't experienced this myself, but a few months ago people were saying the freighter can only go so far and that it is possible to get out of its range.

I would think it's a proximity thing rather than system to system distance. I move my freighter often, and the game doesn't allow me to call it sometimes next to a space station, until I move away from it a little. I generally call it directly above my location, from the ground, then hop in my starship.

At least you can go in the space station, then your base, back to the station and have it in your history. Call it home when at your base, then back to the system and call it to the new system. This may be a programing glitch that needs a variable flag reset.

Hmm. Are you trying to call it in a system with a black hole? Maybe thats a thing. Just guessing now.

I was wondering the same thing. Haven't been through one in quite awhile, may give it a try since I got a snow day.

You guys were right. I just needed to pull further away from the space station before trying to recall it. Moving further away did change it from red to green. Many thanks!

Oh, and I don't have any mods installed.
