Cant find detected anomaly's
So ive been playing all day and im trying to get the atlas passes and every time I get a message "anomaly detected" I scan my surroundings fly around cant see anything then I open the galactic map and change everything looking for the anomaly and It just wont show up and it starts off with my active quest thats over a million light years away that I cant remove then goes to the atlas mission. I dont know what to do, I cant find a quest list or anything regarding my issue and its really starting to frustrate me.

It shows up in system with a purple icon. I typically find them somewhat near the space station, or at least in view from. The quest list should be under the 'log' menu.

theres no purple icons when I check the map or on the screen

Took me almost 40 to find one in this playthrough. That said, it didn't show up until after I did the MSQ that introduced me to them. So that may or may not be a factor now. I did doddle around alot along the way.

I get a "space anomaly detected" pop up generally just after I visit an atlas station. But theres no visual information to tell me where to go. Or where it is or anything like that. ive had about 10 pop ups but have only stumbled across one anomaly when I didnt even get a notification.

There is never an Anomaly in the same system as the Atlas station.

Yeah but theres no visual information to show me where the detected anomaly is in any nearby systems,

Do you use any mods? If yes, disable them, if no, delete/rebuild shader cache.
Captain Brendig Jan 17, 2018 @ 11:56am
The detected anomaly will be in the system you detected it in.

Also your system specs might be helpful. AMD video card maybe?

No mods, Ill try the shader thing, but I cant notice any off color lines, there's only four, green/quest, yellow/galactic core, red/atlas and grey for previous system (which i tried to fly to, to look for the anomaly and noticed it was just the previous system I was in.

When you detect an anomaly, you should be able to spot it from the ground in your exosuit compass, or when just looking around in orbit. Don't recall if they show up in the map, if they do you would to zoom into that system.

I think they don't show up in the galactic map - and no auto-waypoint to that system will be set. They spawn as you enter the system.

That was my first thought. Mission targets show up, but thats it IIRC. My point to the OP is that they are easy to find when in system.

Right, so we have a negative on galactic map and systems with Atlas and a positive in a system when the message appears. :)
