My ship just changed color...
I was playing last night and I'm still in the starter ship. It was always red and white, but then today all of a sudden it's white and with small splotches of yellow.... all I did was quit the game yesterday and restart it today....

How can I change it back? >.<

I actually had that happen to my starter ship. I imagine the only way you can fix it (if you really want to) is to use the NMS save editor and change the seed to a new one of the starter ship.

I found this seed in a thread: 0xA547AB958C97E439

But the thread is from last year, if that seed ends up not working my friend can get one for you from her starter ship.

You can't without the Save Editor and having the Seed for the original ship. If you are new to the game don't mess with this yet, enjoy your free reskin.

Just another failure in the Matrix. You will encounter a lot of these things in NMS. Unfortunately the game is full of bugs and strange things. You just need to learn to live with it. Or you could use a 3rd party application and try to fix the failures of HG from there.

If you go to a space station you will find next to the exosuit upgrader a machine that changes your appearance and it seems to change the colour of the ship too!

Huh? You can't change your ship color in-game at all.

usually this is just different lighting. Are you SURE it really changed, or did you warp and it turned due to different star light color? Bugs and oddities happen, but the light change color change thing is a common non-bug.

This happened to me when I traded my Radiant Pillar for a new fighter then decided I wanted the Radiant Pillar too, I went back to the Radiant Pillar -- still on the deck of the space station -- I hadn't left, i just walked back up to it and bought it back. When I got it back on my freighter it was an Olive color. It's kind of cool. ;)

really I farmed for hours to get the color I wanted on my Living Ship last night and found a white one , now today I log into the game the color has now changed to a light green color. All the hours farming to have what I thought was going to be a rare ship all in white now the color is not what I wanted at all

This has been an on going bug for years.. I know if you used the NMS editor you could fix this bug but i'm not sure these days.
