Planet with super exotic weather
This is not a filter, even though at first I thought it was one.

Is this normal?

If so, what kinds of planets with "hot colors" (ridiculously contrasty) have you found?

Edit: Knowing that this is an actual phenomenon, perhaps this thread could be used for people to post screenshots of their Mega Exotic planets they have found.

These planets are weird, alright. Another quality is that flora is normally over-sized on them. I'm not really a fan of them, but that's because I primarily like to be a xenophotographer add to me these aren't attractive photo material. Not that I don't document them with photos, LOL.

The one of these I found most recently had a red and gray cast and was described as a "Blood planet" <cringe>. It was in a red star system. Even photos in space near the planet had the two-color (grays + washed-out reds) look. That even extended to the space station interior. As I got further away from that planet in the system, colors returned to normal.
The Flora is indeed massive on this planet, appearing as huge, pulsating spikes reaching out of the ground. They look a bit like chlorine crystals, visually. Im a fan of them to be honest.

The planet in particular in this thread has the classification "dark wine" planet. On the planet itself, weather was labeled "fevered clouds".

I also encountered the change of color inside the station, as you described:

The chromatic planets with large plants are called Mega Exotics. They are characterized by the giant plants, giant rings, giant all types of flora and minerals. They're cool to spend time on if can see around the weather (The ones I've been on tended to have frequent storms).

All the red named chromatics (crimson, blood, wine etc) are in red star systems. The blues in blue, and the greens in green.

When looking up chromatic planet online because of a reply I got earlier, I only found something about Mega Exotics, so I was assuming it was the same thing. Nice to have some confirmation.
Indeed it is awesome to spend time on and explore, and the flora are giant here. There are some minerals like activated cadmium.
The storms on this planet are terrible, even if I tend to like them (I naturally like rain, I dont know why).
Whenever a storm ends, a new one begins no 30 seconds after, so it rains basically constantly. The rain is so extreme that my thermal protection drains within 30 seconds at full charge, so moving around is only possible within an exocraft.
Regardless, just the views alone are worth the extreme conditions.

They are very rare, so you will likely have to look through many systems.
The planet features in this thread was found around a red star, however they also appear around green and blue stars. They do not seem to occur around yellow stars.
To get to these colored stars, you need to build their different warp drives (Indium, Emeril and Cadmium Drive).
Once you get to such a system, simply hope that it contains one of these planets. It might take a while, but I think it is worth looking for them.

PC gamer had a funny review about one of these planets, "no fun allowed here"!

That planet you found reminds me of Xen, from Half Life. Especially the Black Mesa remake looks very similar to it. Seems like a great planet you found!

Okay, Ima start looking! Thanks alot!
Has anyone ever come across a blue tint world?

If you find one of the black and white chromatic planets...it is really trippy. Very disorienting.

I think he wanted to reply to Stavinair Caeruleum, who commented today.
