Deleting a Freighter Storage Unit
Is there a way to delete a freighter storage unit? I misplaced storage unit 0 and there's no delete option

On PC press "Z", target the storage unit, hold down the control key and click the left mouse button.

Thanks, guys. I thought that the storage unit container (0 in this case) had to be selected in the build menu and no delete option was showing up. Appreciate it.

When I try to delete walls in my freighter it instead builds random walls. I'm on a PC, I pressed z then CTRL and point at the wall and left click. It builds not deletes like a base on a planet. It's driving me crazy

You can't be in one of the sub menus. The sub menus let you change colors. Get all the way out of the build menu, press the "Z" key once to enter the build menu. You have to hold down on the control key. Your cursor will show a red "X".

Freighter building is the opposite of land building. to delete you have to click on a section of the room that exists, you build a new room by clicking on a wall. do you understand -- it's bizarre

Take care buiding storage units. You can't place them anywhere you like and get a good result. I had been using 4 way corridor sections to place three units, but I didn't know they had numbers because they weren't visible. I now build "small rooms" and join them to place all the containers I need at each base. For those who don't know you get 10 units 0-9 and they are the same ten units no matter where you put them. I have farm specific containers at each farm i.e. #5 for Gama Root at the Gamma Root farm. I have #0 & #4 at every base farm for components to build Stasis Devices. I have all ten on my frieghter. I originally thought I lost all of them when I switched freighters because the guide woefully omits many details.

If anyone is currently doing the farmer quest line please make a note of where to grow Coprite on what type of planet. I should have made a note of it because it is one important detail that is left out of the in game guide. I grow all my other plants on planets that already have that plant and they grow very quickly. It seems I can't even keep up harvesting them.

To my knowledge, coprite and mordite do not grow on planets. You must use hydroponics/domes to grow them. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also, I believe the grow time for a given plant is the same, whether it is grown planetside or in hydroponics. Scanning a plant will tell you how long it needs to grow before it may be harvested.

Mordite and Coprite can only be grown in hydroponics trays or biodomes. You can get mordite from killing creatures or as a secondary resource from some plants. Coprite can be gotten by feeding docile creatures what ever they eat (carbon, star bulb, etc) scan the creature to find out what they eat. Press and hold "E" to feed them. They get a happy face and some other memerbs of their herd may come running to get food from you too. About a minute after you feed them they will excrete a red lump of coprite that you can gather by pressing and holding "E". Coprite can also be found as a secondary resource in some plants. Growth times and the amounts harvested vary from farmable plant to farmable plant.
