Very true, sadly i doubt i'll get my hands on VR in time. I'd like an HTC vive pro or the index, but it'll be some time before i can afford that.
Enjoyed your vid ... and the music.
I found my deepest ocean yet: 18-1/2 levels deep. The pix show temp vertical tubes above the Landing Pad level just for 'measuring' the depth. My Base is set into a natural 'cave'.

Holy! That's crazy. Do you remember what kind of planet it is? It seems i see most of the deep oceans on Lost planets, or stellar corrupted planets. Otherwise all other types i rarely see anything all that deep.
Honestly, the original Vive is still pretty darn awesome, and costs half of what you'll pay for an Index or Vive Pro.
I don't think I've seen a deep like this before. Below are pix of Discoveries Page. This is the 4th galaxy ... what ever it's name is.

I'm hoping Index get's mostly good feedback, i can live with some of the current minor flaws in VR tech in most headsets. But if anything major, then i won't invest $1000 into it lol.
HTC vive standard headset and kit on Amazon for only $480 at the time of making this reply, maybe it'll go lower.
The planet im building on now is quite a bit shallower, but it gives the impression of being deep due to massive underwater caves. It's a pity cuboid rooms are so leaky.
But i did build a little, i'm not exactly sure how deep it was. Didn't realize how leaky the cuboid rooms were. :(
It's when you build to 2 or 3 cuboids in height it gets confused about whether your inside or outside a cuboid. If you try to build a cuboid inside a cuboid, things **really** get messy.
It's also a shame that singular building panels can't be used to make underwater bases watertight, since it'd be nice to have see-through floors.

This was quite a bit harder to do that it appears, since cuboids tend to bug out when they meet from different directions.
I'll have to fiddle around with them a bit i think. Otherwise hopefully Beyond update will address some of the little things like that.
They truly did. And finding a place like that makes it seem more unique or special. At least to me it did, that was the only world i've seen like that, big deep oceans with blue water like that, the types of caves and underwater caverns it had etc. I've seen some deep water but usually different colors and not with caves quite like that.
