Whatever creature it will not be more than 6.5 meters high, that's the limit because otherwise the creature's motion will be messed up like in the first releases of the game. So the results you may get here will not be so exciting. (vanilla game at least).

THis is an older video I believe; I do remember some cool/tall creatures before. Recently I saw a bronchis. which was pretty awesome.

The dinosaur presented in the NMS trailer before release was the most impressive I have ever seen, but as said, you will not meet this one in the regular game, not that big.

I've seen some, but they are rare. This one wasn't that tall, but was pretty cool.

Nice !

Ok 8 is already what I don't remember to have seen (or I missed looking in the visor for the data)...Take my numbers with salt please...
Some water creatures can be longer than that, but I remember some whale sorts that will be stuck in the water because of their size...

Tallest I've ever discovered was an 8.3 meter diplo. Standing next to that thing was just amazing.

8.3m is my tallest too (to date).

Why the qualifier? I remember an early post where the poster claimed that they had examined NMS code, and a height>6.5 m. was impossible. I posted a shot of a couple of dino types in excess of 7m. which closed down that exchange :steamhappy:

Here's a recent one

To all intents and purpose, NMS is an infinite sandbox, and in such an infinite environment, an infinity of possibility remains, ruling out "hard limits" on the possibility of size limits (unless specified in code.)

Biggest aquatic - a worm-type at 9+ m. - have no pic though :steamsad:

Nice. One thing I sometimes wish for:

the ability to take some eggs and bring them to another start system to hatch on another planet. :)

Sometimes the planet is amazing, but then wish I'd see some huge creature I had seen on a different planet there. :)

Well sure, if you mod the game to alter creature sizes you end up with oversized janky stuff that can't walk. The same mod probably has the space whales in it. Reminds me of the "giant creatures" mod for Skyrim where someone just multiplied all the dimensions by 1000% and the things just glitched all over the place.
