Can't call freighter from space? [SOLVED]

Why is this an option if it cant be used? Is it because of fuel?


Fix: Just get far enough away from planets, stations, and freighters.

You can summon it to a system from space as long as you're not trying to summon it into a space station or something, and as long as there isn't already another player freighter in the same system.

I'm not in a space station and am in open space or right outside a planet's atmosphere. There are neighboring freighters but I don't think that they're user owned.

It's a little weird with the requirements for calling a freighter. If you're on the planet and look up to the sky and call it, it warps in super close, but if you fly out into space but are sorta-kinda near the planet, it'll tell you to get further away before allowing it to be called.

Basically, get further away from the planet. Just use your pulse engine for 2 seconds and you'll be far enough away.

You should be getting a message as to why. Station/planet/freighter proximity, etc.

it is really picky about where you can put it sometimes.

Freighters cannot be summoned (and cannot be landed on) if they are under attack by pirates or if they would be too close to space station or other freighters. The preview icon must be green.

If you are too close to a planet or moon, too close to the space station or space anomaly, or too close to another NPC freighter, or in a multiplayer game that you are not the host of, you won't be able to summon your freighter.

You can't summon then too close to a planet (but you can, if you summon them from the surface of the planet)

just did it, and yeah I was too near planets and other bodies to summon from space.
